Had a great weekend celebrating my 32nd birthday at the Riverlily riverfront cottages. Waking up and sitting on the deck watching the Russian River while nestled in the trees was one of my favorite experiences. The amenities were great, everything was beyond my expectations.
My 8 friends and I had such a great weekend at these cabins on the river. They are in a beautiful setting and stocked with essentials for cooking delicious meals and relaxing near the water. It is conveniently located a few minutes from Safeway (and also this super sweet natural foods store!). The only small challenges we ran into were with lighting the pilot on the heater in one of the houses so we ended up lighting a fire which helped to heat up the space, and the dishwasher in the other cabin was difficult to hook up so we ended up just using one of the dishwashers. Overall it is a great space and we all felt like we would stay there again :)
Sympaattinen, Missionin kaupungiosan tunnelmaa henkivä asunto. Hyvä sijainti: BARTilla ja MUNIlla pääsee helposti liikkumaan toisiin kaupunginosiin ja lentokentälle. Viihdyimme täällä todella hyvin.
We enjoyed our stay in your home greatly. It was easy to communicate with you and your home was well-equipped. A few suggestions:
- Have a broom and dustpan available (we couldn't find one).
- Supply the house with pre-cut firewood, or with an ax and saw. We bought firewood, but the stove is so small that none of the prices fit.
- Write down garbage day in bigger print. Our neighbors in cottage one forgot to put the trash on the curb when they left and the animals had their way with the garbage so that there was trash all over the front of the house.
Thank you so much for your hospitality and the comfort of your beautiful home. The deck with the redwood was our favorite spot.
The Stone Family
We had a wonderful time! The deck is among the redwoods and the river is right below the house, very peaceful. The hot tub and part of the deck is shared with the neighboring cabin. There was plenty of space to spread out, but not complete privacy. Anne was very responsive and resolved a minor issue quickly. We would definitely go back to the Riverlily!
Me and my boyfriend stayed four nights at Anne's place. The apartment was great, and the location in the Mission was perfect - close to public transportation, nice restaurants and great cafes. Anne was a great host and made our check-in late at night very easy.
Great little place, felt like our own apartment. Location is fantastic and I really enjoyed living in the mission. Also super close to Bernal Heights which is fantastic with the best views.
Shower and other facilities are all great.
My friends and I had an amazing time at Anne's place!! We would most definitely come back. The setting is gorgeous, both cabins are clean, fully stocked, and spacious. The decks are a true selling point, surrounded by redwoods and with gorgeous views of the river. We got to use the canoe which was a lot of fun. The water level was extremely low for us so the dock wasn't in use but we were still able to access the river directly from the house. This place rocks!!
Reached out and was able to confirm details one day prior to arrival. Anne made it quick and easy to accept the rental agreement and I appreciated the detailed instructions along with the suggestions provided.
Though it was relatively difficult to spot the side street, arriving wasn't too tedious overall, and the initial impression of the place was cozy and inviting. The general location is great, and is well positioned between Santa Rosa and other outdoor excavations (Armstrong, etc).
During the stay, my girlfriend and I were generally comfortable. All of the amenities are as listed, and generally suit the city dweller quite well. A few things were unfavorable: the slats on the bed frame shifted during sleep, and one side would slump off of the support beam and down to the floor, leaving one of us more inclined than the other. The wood stove needed a solid cleaning, as ash laden air filled the room when building a fire. The grill on the porch is broken on one side, and gas leaks out of the gas valve, leaving strong, potentially dangerous fumes in the air. Other than these things, the place definitely did the job.
I would rate the overall experience as more than tolerable, and definitely left the place more relaxed than I was coming in. Reflecting on the price, I find that it is on the high side, especially when the closing checklist recommends a fair amount of cleaning.
Anne’s was the perfect base for me and my boyfriend’s San Francisco adventures. A lot of the things we wanted to do were in the Mission so we were within walking distance of tonnes of cool places. The space is a few blocks away from the BART and it’s a short ride into the centre of town (Powell, Market etc.) which was perfect for us to meet friends and see the sights.
Anne gave us some great recommendations and the guide she supplied was great to flick through for ideas - we wanted to go to them all we just didn’t have enough time!
Having access to Hulu and Netflix was greatly appreciated when we were trying to get over our initial jet lag. Check-in was easy and Anne was easy to contact, even when she was away on business for a few days.
If you want to stay somewhere that allows you to explore the Mission and get to the more touristy parts of San Francisco easily this is the place to stay.
