English guy who splits his time between Brighton and Salvador. When I'm in Brazil (usually December through til March) and in Brighton (May to August) I do hosted bed and breakfasts - by hosted I mean you're treated as a house guest rather than someone staying in a guest house - you can come with me to concerts and events and join me for drinks on the terrace or in the garden. I do events and receptions for the bigger festival events like Yemanja, canival and New Year's Eve in Salvador and Brighton Festival and Pride in Brighton. Happy to introduce you to local friends and try to make your stay as great as possible. Salvador and Brighton are both amazing cities and everyone is very friendly but, like everywhere, you get more out of your stay if you stay with someone who knows the city. You are also welcome to just do your own thing or hang out on the terrace or in the garden. I have a large network of friends and contacts involved in music, arts and dance in both cities. When I'm not there I rent the flats out as self catering units but still more than happy to advise on local information, where to go and put you in contact with some local friends.
