Magda and her seventeen year old son, Daniel, were great guests. Magda has a beautiful soul. She works for an organization that helps to cover the cost of rent for struggling San Franciscans in California. She is also intelligent and resourceful. She stocked up on groceries at Costco in Kona before crossing the island to our jungle abode in the Puna District. Magda is a wonderful, caring mother who always made sure there was plenty of travel food for her 6’2” growing boy. She even found time to help her son with his homework during their Hawaiian vacation. She has a great sense of humor and an admirable sense of adventure. They drove all over the Big Island to experience its many wonders. They went to the green sand beach at South Point (the southernmost point in the United States), visited Kehena Beach (the black sand beach which is a favorite among the locals) and drove up the Big Island’s Hamakua Coast north of Hilo where many of Hawaii’s most beautiful waterfalls and valleys are located. They also visited Hawaii Volcanoes National Park where volcanic activity and lava flows are currently peaking. We all went to the Maku’u Farmers Market (Hawaii’s largest farmers market which attracts 15,000 people every Sunday) on Sunday morning to enjoy some authentic French crepes and pick up some locally grown fruits and vegetables. Magda found some beautiful handmade earrings for her niece at the market. We very much enjoyed Magda’s company and definitely recommend her to other hosts. We would be happy to host her again should she ever find herself in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Thank you, Magda.
Good communication. I felt this guest has some unrealistic expectations and when staying as a guest in someone's home.
