Hello! I'm Maddie. I am currently living, studying, working and eating many burritos in lovely Lincoln, Nebraska. I am a graphic designer for the Lied Center for Performing Arts and am just finishing up my degree in art and advertising. I don't think I could go a day without my cat Edith, my pink bike, or Greek olive hummus. Currently I am obsessed with reading classic murder mysteries, watching every Jacques Tati movie in existence, and constructing the perfect vegetarian burrito.
The best trip I ever took was a study abroad photography tour of Greece. We spent a month traveling around Athens, Crete, the Peloponnesian peninsula, and many small islands. It was incredibly eye opening! My dream trip is, as any landlocked French-speaking Nebraskan would tell you, to travel across France. But my wish list beyond that extends for miles.
Guest-wise, I am an extremely easygoing traveler who is down for just about anything! I love going new places and meeting new people. Though it's probably a hella-cliché, I take great stock in this quote from Zen & The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance (which I re-read every winter when I start coming down with cabin fever): "Sometimes it's a little better to travel than to arrive."
