Enormous flat for central London. Pristine and warm. Stewart was welcoming and very informative. We enjoyed the close proximity to the theater district and restaurants of Covent Garden. Lots of little details within the flat that make it an excellent place to stay (e.g. Sky TV, heated towel racks, large refrigerator, plenty of blankets, etc.). Would stay again in a heart beat.
Good location, decent place and helpful host.
What a fabulous week for my husband, myself and our two teenage daughters in this apartment in the most AMAZING location! Just around the corner from Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus, a quick walk to Covent Garden and the theatres, Trafalgar Square and the tourist sites around the Thames, and the shopping on Regent and Oxford Streets. Contact with Stewart was prompt and courteous. The apartment is large and very comfortable, and pleasantly quiet for such a busy area. Piccadilly tube line is five minutes walk, which is great access for both St Pancras and Heathrow. We would love to come back to the apartment and will be recommending it to others. Thanks for sharing it Stewart.
The entire experience and apartment were Absolutely Brilliant!! Highly Recommend!!! You really are only five minutes away from getting anywhere you want to go in London! Tube, shopping, sushi, groceries, dining, cinema, theatre, etc., and of course Soho and Piccadilly!! We stayed 12 days through Christmas and New Year's Eve and wanted to be central to all the action and events. Well, this apartment more than met that requirement! The apartment is super clean and has everything you need except groceries (Tesco and Whole Foods are just a three minute walk, and Stewart is such a fantastic host he welcomes you with a few "goodies" to get you going! ;). The apartment is perfect in size and layout. Kitchen, living room, and dining area at one end and bedrooms at the other. Access to the apartment is via stairs, no lift (elevator), but other than carrying our luggage up one time, we hardly noticed and it was never an issue (and we were in and out quite often during the day!) The apartment also has washer and dryer (pack less and just wash!) and very good Wi-Fi. One of the things you will notice if you travel throughout UK and Europe is a shortage of power outlets in the homes, apartments, and hotels. Well, this apartment has an abundance of outlets. With four of us and our iPads, iPhones, and IMacs, there was peace in the world as we each had plenty of outlets to recharge our devices! ;)
Even though our visit was during one of the most festive times of the year, the apartment being on a side street and on the 3rd floor has no issues with noise. One of our favorite "down" time while chilling at the apartment between activities was to just open the window and people watch as folks gathered on the street and went about their busy lives! There a fantastic Italian restaurant just to the left of the entry to the apartment, a cute Gelato store 15m across the street, and a three bars offering a wide variety of settings (pub, club, or snub ;) depending on your liking! If you don't mind longer walks of say 20-30 minutes each way, skip the Tube and just walk to Westminster, Hyde Park, Regent Street, Oxford Street, Trafalgar Square, and St Paul's Cathedral, Covent Gardens ... if you are up for a 45 minute walk you can cover Shakespeare's Globe Theatre and London Tower. I would highly recommend this if you have the time because you get to see all the little extras that really make London special! You can always catch the Tube on the return to Piccadilly - and then a three minute walk back to the apartment! We look forward to staying here again!!
We could not have found a better place to stay in London. Stewart was a very nice host and showed us everything we needed to settle. The location was perfect, literally 3 minutes walk from Picadilly Circus in a quiet street (no noise at all in the bedrooms). There were so many restaurants, pubs, shops and theatres etc to choose from, just around the corner. We loved the appartment, I think bigger and nicer than what the pictures show. All amenities, warm central heating, I could go on.
Nous avons adoré l'appartement, très bien situé et bien aménagé, juste à coté du metro en plein centre de Londres, parfait pour un séjour touristique d'une semaine ou plus, en famille ou entre amis. Merci Stewart !
Fantastic location, right in the heart of Soho. Stewart was very accommodating and understanding when I needed to be flexible with dates. The actual flat is very large - great sized bedrooms, and ample living space. All in - this was the perfect flat for my month long stay in London.
This apartment was really in the heart of everything. It was spacious, clean & well equipped. Really the photos don't do it justice. It was also great to have 2 bathrooms as there were two couples staying there & it gave us both privacy. Both bedrooms were large enough to fit the suitcases & all our travel accessories. Stewart was very attentive & easy to get hold of. The apartment was very close to Piccadilly for the tube but it was really easy to get to Leicester Square, Trafalgar Square, Oxford St, China Town & other places just by walking. Soho had so many theatres, places to eat & drink that we were spoilt for choice. I even had my hair cut at the hairdressers downstairs! Would recommend this apartment to all. Just be aware that is up three flights of stairs which we were made well aware of. We made the choice to stay there & were glad we did. Thanks Stewart.
We loved it! Stewart was a perfect host; very helpful and informative. The apartment was excellent and it was lovely to have such a large space. Even though we were in the very heart of the all the action in Soho, the bedrooms are towards the back so it was nice and quiet to sleep. We would love to stay again next time and visit more restaurants and shops...there are so many great places it was hard to choose! Thank you Stewart.
- very central just nearby Piccadilly Circus. Perfect layout for 2 persons, bedrooms going to the backyard. Contact to Stewart all time without any problem. All in all, highly recommending appartment in the heart of London with excellent price/performance ratio!
In short, we would be back in a heartbeat.
The flat was well appointed. The location was perfect for us as we went to a number of shows, some literally around the corner. You are 5 mins walk from Piccadilly Circus underground.
Plenty of places to eat within walking distance.
The kitchen was great for cooking our own breakfast before heading down to the tube for a day out. The washer & dryer came in very handy.
Our other couple were held up at the airport changing the time we could check in but Stewart was able to organise someone else to let us in. Much appreciated, especially when you've just gotten off the plane from a long haul flight!
Stewart provided 3 sets of keys, very convenient.
There was a welcome pack of coffee, milk etc.
It was quite warm when we visited and while there is no air conditioning Stewart provided a fan to help cool us down.
There was some noise from the street below at night but it was fine as bedrooms are at the back of the apartment.
Just remember you have to *walk* up stairs to the 3rd floor but for us it wasn't a problem.
(Like I said, we'd come back in a hearbeat.)
If you're looking for a place to base yourself for visiting London, I would highly recommend Stewart's apartment.
