The cabin is really cute and clean (which was reassuring given the $85 cleaning fee), so it's accurately described. It is tastefully but sparingly decorated and there are enough dishes and cookware for a basic meal. It's located a little bit outside of town, which is lovely for watching the deer in the yard and fireflies in summer. It's a close walk to Cucina, one of the best restaurants in Woodstock and to the natural foods market and really it's only about 10-15 minute walk into the central part of town, so no need for a car unless you want to go see some of the nearby attractions (the monastery, Opus 40, etc). Would recommend bringing your own flashlight or candles for the sleeping loft since there isn't a lamp up there. The bed was very comfortable and we slept incredibly well without the sounds of the city to wake us up. The living room has an Ikea sofa that doubles as a fold-out bed, so isn't the coziest of couches, but functional nonetheless. Overall, we're really happy to have stayed in the cabin and Angela was definitely a flexible and responsive host.
Had a perfect weekend getaway at this charming little cabin. Everything was as described and we felt right at home. The response time on my questions was a bit slow, but Angela was easy to coordinate overall. My girlfriend and I loved the place and the town and would gladly visit again.
Very nice, clean, and quick drive to town. Highly recommend for a relaxing quiet stay. Note that the ceiling is low in the sleeping attic. It wasn't a problem for me, but my husband is very tall 6'8" and it was a bit low for him.
My boyfriend and I had a great weekend staying at Angela's house. The listing was accurate and Angela was accessible by text messaging whenever a quick question came up. The house feels cozy and private, and was the perfect size for a couple (there's a daybed on the first floor too in case you have an additional guest). Sunflower natural foods store is a short walk away, great for food and supplies. I already want to go back again soon and would definitely recommend this place to friends.
Finding a decent place to stay in Woodstock is challenging. Angela's cabin is one of the best I've come across in a while.
This quaint cabin space was perfect for a night away from the city. The decor is lovely - almost completely white with pops of color in the woven rugs and tapestries - and the size was perfect for 2 but I could see how 4 or 5 could spend a weekend here together. The top bunk area is intimate and gets great light in the mornings. It's conveniently located 5 mins from town so we didn't have to drive to/from dinner. It's totally serene and peaceful and I highly recommend a stay here. We'll be back!
The house was great, we loved the clean, modern look. It is definitely sparse, so we were happy we brought some extra blankets and pillows from home! But otherwise great, we could see deer up-close out the windows, it was very peaceful, and plenty warm enough. Make sure to bring/buy water, since the water in the cabin is well water.
The cabin was adorable! Clean and modern but still cozy, and close to town. Angela was a fantastic host, communicative and kind. I will definitely be back.
Angela was very kind and communicative with anything I needed during my stay. The place was indeed cozy and quiet and clean. A very close location to town.
Very clean, cozy cabin - perfect for a winter weekend getaway. More than enough space for a couple. Bathroom is new and sleek. The apartment is spare but well appointed. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely consider coming back!
