I'm out and about quite a bit. I'm quiet and considerate at home. Usually when home I'm on my computer! :)
The apartment is located in a good place because you are close to a subway station. The area is not dangerous even though it is in Harlem.
The apartment is clean, and perfect if you see quality versus price. Just one night I woke up because some people arrived very late, but it was just few minutes. Good internet and good tv cable.
The reservation was canceled 27 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
The room is big and comfortable. Hosts are very friendly. The location is easy to find.
Jacqueline was a delight. She made us feel right at home. Her place is in a charming building with a cool old elevator. It was very convenient to the subway and close to all the areas we wanted to spend time in. There is a deli around the corner called the Lennox Gourmet Deli, and they had the BEST Philly cheese steak sandwiches EVER...better than Pat and Gino's in Philadelphia! Jacqueline met all of our travel needs, including a sewing kit to repair my jacket when I discovered that a button had fallen off. I would absolutely stay with her again next time I am in NYC!
Jackie was lovely. Great cozy room, desk, equipped kitchen, and super fast internet a few minutes from the express train. Apartment was very clean and she was sweet and great to talk to, but also gave me my space and freedom to do my own thing. I'd def stay here again. Thanks Jackie!
Jacqueline was a great host - she met us to give two sets of keys for the apartment, and on arrival, had a spacious room, comfortable bed, and towels/little shower gels waiting for us.
The apartment itself is clean and functional. It's in an older building in Harlem, quiet and certainly not shoebox-sized as is typical for the lower-half of Manhattan. The heating definitely works, could be a little stuffy for some, but we were fine with it.
Neighborhood is quirky and has a charm of it's own, especially if you're into Harlem-esque things (live jazz at Shrine bar, great happy hours, tasty West African food, etc). My gf and I walked around right through the night, and always felt safe.
Jacqueline and her sister Kerry were very hospitable. The room was very comfortable and clean when we arrived. She gave us good ideas on where to go and very specific directions to help us around the city. She welcomed us into her apartment and was willing to help any way she could. The apartment is in a great location, about a total of 10 minutes from her place to the top of Central Park. Also, it took us about 20 - 25 minutes to Times Square. Overall a great experience and I would definitely book with her again!
I've been with Kerry for a week and it was grate.. Kerry was the best roommate ever!!!!
The room was really big and very very comfy.
Kerry is the best host ever and I'm big time recommended on staying with here..
Close to the apartment you have Everthing you need and the train is one step from the building...
Jacquie and her sister were very good hosts. Her sister made some restaurant recommendations and was kind enough to offer me a bagel and coffee in the morning. This was my first time staying in Harlem. I found it to be charming... especially on Sunday morning w/ everyone all dressed up for church. The apartment is nice and roomy as is the guest bedroom. This place is a great value!
Response from Jacqueline:
Thanks James! Please come again!
Jacquie has been a terrific host. Her apartment is big, cool and comfortable. She is new to air bnb- but will fill up quickly I would imagine. Great location too!
Jacqueline is a really super cool airbnb host! She has an amazing apartment in NYC, about 20 minutes from the heart of NYC. Her place is big and comfortable and clean! She is easy and fun to be around. Her apartment has all the necessities, including a large bedroom, kitchen and bathroom to make any guest feel comfortable. She is a friendly, fun host that will leave you alone to enjoy your stay!
