I'm a Charlottesville native in my early 30s. I am an artist working in the interior and event design fields.
Sarah was a great host for several of my friends who were guests at my wedding in C-ville recently. Very sweet, accommodating, and hospitable. My friends who stayed there said they really enjoyed their stay!!
Sarah's home provided everything we needed and it was nice that we could use het kitchen and dining room for supper and breakfast, wghich was not included. The room was smaller than we expected from the photographs.
I stayed with Sarah for five nights while trying to find an apartment for next year. Looking at rentals is always exhausting, and the weather while I was there certainly didn't help (with summer temps up over 100 degrees), but it was a perfect delight to come home to Sarah's cool, peaceful haven at the end of each day. The bedrooms are just as lovely as they appear in the photos. The kitchen, dining, and living spaces are all clean, comfortable, and inviting. Sarah's beautiful drawings and paintings decorate the walls and her perfectly sweet little dog will wag her tail if you scratch her on the head. Sarah was an accommodating and helpful host, but she'll also give you plenty of space and privacy during your visit. This is a truly nice place to stay, and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Charlottesville or UVa.
My girlfriend and I came to Charlottlesville for a weekend of cycling. Sarah was an excellent host. Her home is beautiful and she was very welcoming. Maddie the dog is super friendly!
We would highly recommend Sarah's place to anyone thinking of coming to Charlottesville.
Sarah was fabulous! The space was beautiful....it is obvious that she is an artist from the second you walk in the door. She was very helpful but also allowed us our privacy. We highly recommend her!
We had a great first BnB experience at Sarah's house in Charlottesville when we were there this past weekend for our youngest daughter's graduation. The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and the art was like comfort food for the walls. :-) The location was perfect and within walking distance of the University grounds. I wish we had know about Sarah's house earlier in our daughter's four years at UVA.
The owner was gracious and accommodating. The atmosphere was relaxed. The premises were clean. The internet connection was reliable and fast. The owner provided towels, and, in the event of emergency or oversight, a first aid kit and basic toiletries. All in all, it was a very enjoyable stay.
We were fortunate to stay in Sarah's beautiful house! If we ever come back to Charlottesville, we will be back to stay there again. Beautiful, clean, cozy home, quiet backyard, easy access by car. Overall excellent experience! Thanks Sarah.
Sarah was a kind + gracious host who went above and beyond the call of duty. I flew in on the redeye from SFO to make a 4pm wedding on the same day. Sarah kindly let me use her washing machine/detergent/oxyclean, vetted possible outfits and pointed me to an affordable shoe store. While I shopped for shoes, she took my wash out of the laundry so it would be dry by the time I got back + kindly had my dress + bolero waiting on the stair railing while I was taking a quick shower.
Charming, clean and cozy - the room + house had a warm, regenerative vibe.
Would definitely recommend to friends.
Thanks again for everything, Sarah!
