Love tennis; writing, ideas that can change the world or are just fun; travel; great food; dance; music and people.
Location is perfect for enjoying Nairobi. It is a safe well secured community. The accommodations were very comfortable and very warm and inviting. The BIG PLUS however, is Musabi, Sabi, as her friends call her. She is a sophisticated yet very down to earth hostess and makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive. My work was too demanding or I would have enjoyed many more hours on the balcony in very interesting conversation with this very kind, classy and intelligent woman, Sabi.
Thanks for a great stay, Dave
Although we didn't spend much time at the house, Musabi's place is a wonderful lodging option for anybody traveling through Nairobi. Its conveniently located and has all the amenities that make for a very comfortable stay. Musabi was so helpful in recommending activities, trustworthy cab drivers and places to grub/hang out and was an all-around joy to chat with and get to know! I highly recommend her place as a much better (and more affordable!) option to the hotels in the city.
This was my first ever visit via Airbnb and what a pleasant surprise. Musabi kindly accepted me though I contacted her far less than her one week’s notice period and I am very thankful that she did it. She is a kind and excellent hostess. She left me with drinking water and Nairobi instructions, provided me with a comfy bed and access to her lovely house, full of character. She herself is an eclectic, sharp, well educated and charming person. The time was short and our schedules busy so we did not get to pass much time together but I am hoping that we will meet up again in Nairobi (or somewhere else in the world)!
To put it plainly: Sabi is the best host a traveler could ask for - and then some! She not only welcomes you into her warm home, she takes you under her wing. Within hours I felt I was staying with a friend and, thanks to her generous hospitality and gregarious personality, I feel I truly got to experience life in Nairobi. I couldn't have wished for more!
Sabi-I dont know where to start-she just left hours ago on her long trip back to Nairobi and I feel the parting loss of a great guest and friendship. Lets not just talk about the fact that she was kind, clean, considerate, quiet and fit right into the routine here, but she was so lovely ,smart, funny, interesting ....we talked about everything... political, cultural and beyond.... She came with me to my music venues and sang,we danced, laughed and connected with all my friends . Everyday we could we played tennis at a nearby court, incredible player. On a couple of nights she made her famous hearts of palm salad. I was beginning to think I should be paying her as a guest to stay here.Maybe I have good kharma or fate or whatever, but I feel so lucky to have met her and have had her pass my way. One day to Kenya and Chateau Prissy!!
Musabi stayed with me at my BNB in San Francisco for a few weeks and I must say she was a joy to be with and I consider her now one of my close international friends. She is smart, kind , considerate. Now I have not been to her place in Nairobi but from the pictures and knowing her , Im sure it would be a wonderful experience. Also, I remember that she made some excellent food dishes while she was here. And in final she had so much love for Kenya that she would be a wealth of information and eyes into seeing her country and beyond. I can only imagine staying at Chateau Prissy would be a great.
