I'm originally from San Francisco (27th St.), but moved in 1997 to NYC for graduate school (Public Health). Now I work for the NYC Dept. of Health, directing a 10-person unit for HIV-related care/treatment/housing program evaluation and research. I try to get back to S.F. every year or so, and my other favorite cities (so far) are Hong Kong, Salvador, Rio, Buenos Aires, New Orleans, Montreal, and of course NYC. Aside from exploring cities, I love wildlife-focused travel, for which Malaysian Borneo has probably been my most thrilling trip. With my husband, I'm starting to do some travel for races (first attempt being Montreal in Sept. 2012 for the marathon). My more typical satisfying activities are cooking, dining outside, roaming around Brooklyn, overindulging at dim sum, making cocktails for sunset, gardening, and watching things find their way into our garden. We haven't been airbnb hosts yet, but are considering it. Our first experience with airbnb was Beth's & Geo's carriage house with garden on Balmy St. in S.F., and it couldn't have been a more perfect stay. Looking forward to more adventures!
