My name is Pia and I am a German student enrolled in an international Erasmus Mundus master program which I started in Uppsala (Sweden) and continued in Strasbourg (France).
At the moment, I am an intern at the German embassy in Washington DC. From February until summer I will return to Sweden to finish my studies.
Who am I? Surely, I love to travel :-) It is such a big opportunity to be able to move from one place to another, spend some weeks or some months in different countries, get to know as many people as possible, enjoy the surroundings and cultural events as well as share some time with friends and relatives. Travelling with friends is as nice as discovering new areas on my own, the only important thing is that everybody should be independent and respectful enough to do what he/she likes to do and to 'negotiate' with others what their plans are. There is always a solution to everyone and everything, as long as we communicate! I am very open and spontanous, so I practically always join in what others suggest - except I am too tired or too hungry ;-)
What are my "favourites"? I do not really have a favorite book or movie or music etc. There are many things I'd consider to be my favourites, such as movies directed by Quentin Tarantino or the Coen brothers, Robert Zemeckis...concerning food, my favourite is...food! I crave for new exciting meals and tastes and to try out new things, I also enjoy cooking a lot.
Airbnb is a very good and safe way to get to know a place on an informal and personal level. I tried it out in Malaga (Spain) and enjoyed it very much. In general, I prefer personal exchange than going (email hidden) and living in a hotel, which is often rather impersonal.
