cheery, easy-going, traveller, dreamer, raw foodist half way / inclined to no gluten and vegan eating habits (and so advice on vegan and raw eating in Moscow goes with the deal -))
my travel experience shows that i'm always looking for [and would love to get] this kind of sublet that i'm offering here now: central, cozy, convenient, well-equipped, with hosts who rather feel like old friends.
HORSEBACK RIDING \\ RURAL COUTRYSIDE LIVING EXPERIENCE \\ COUNTRYSIDE RETREAT 'tour'
in case you're interested in getting an experience of real rural Russia, being all safe and not getting too far or deep into the sticks at the same time, here's my favourite place that i'd love to share
it's a farm in the fields on the edge of the woods, close to Volga river
they own 10+ horses, a BORZOI dog kennel, live in a village 250km away from Moscow, which takes 4 hours on a bus (coach) or about 3h driving (we've got a car)
chicken, geese, cats and all, raw cow milk on the table all day + cottage cheese some days, farmer eggs and such for all guests.
a lot of routes to walk in the nature both horseback and by foot
the family that runs the house don't speak English but I love them and the place so much I'd be happy to be your giude there if I have time.
They make their living out of offering countryside weekend retreats = simple food, very simple accomodation and about 2 hours in the saddle included. their usual guests are Russians from Moscow and neighboring small towns, but for a foreigner that could be quite a trip to see how the country side lives
technically, if you get there but decide you'd rather stay the night in a more comfortable place with urban amenities, there's a small soviet style hotel in the nearest picturesque historic town of Staritsa 3km away (basically just a bed and hot shower - cause yes, there's no hot shower in the village, once in a while they use their souna (russian banya), but it's not as simple as walking into a tub whenever you want to).
village, as I said. rural. tough and beautiful
you're welcome to ask for details about that.
