I stayed 2 nights at Danikas apartment with my mom, baby daughter, sister, brother in law and niece. We had
come for a wedding and when another apartment fell through, we were scrambling to find a place to stay at the very last minute. The apartment was the perfect choice. There was enough room for all of us, it was clean and tidy, and we were all able to take hot showers consecutively which was quite surprising and big relief. We had a lot of communication with Danika on the logistics,
so everything went really smoothly. I would recommend the apartment to anyone. It is very close to Chelsea Market and lots of great cafes and restaurants nearby.
Danika was very accommodating and made available to us everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Her apartment was clean and nicely decorated, so it had a very homey feel.
I booked this apartment for my colleague's business trip and I had great communication with the host. Danika was quick to respond to any questions and was helpful. My colleagues didn't get to meet Danika but they were very happy with the apartment. It was in great location with great views and the apartment was clean and comfortable. My colleagues would be happy to stay there again. Thanks Danika.
The location of the apartment is great! Chelsea is super convenient - it was easy to walk to lots of neighboring places or just taking the subway on 23rd. Danika is super sweet and helpful, she left a great manual with recommendations for the neighborhood and easily reachable if we had any questions. When I arrived, I actually had trouble with the lockbox so I couldn't get the keys to get into the apartment. Danika quickly came to my aid and helped me get in to settle down right away.
She had two full queen size beds in her apartment, so the 4 of us slept very comfortably. An extra air mattress is also available if you need it but we didn't. The unit is on the 5th floor and there are some stairs to climb but really it's no biggie considering you're walking all the time in NY anyway :)
Overall a great experience and a very convenient location in NY!
Apartment at a great location.
A bit tight for 6 people (4 would be better) yet the kids loved the place.
10th avenue feels like a highway during the night so quite noisy. Apartment could have been cleaner and needs some fixing here and there.
Danika friendly and helpful host.
Danika is a wonderful host. She provided detailed information about places to see and eat around the apartment. (We liked The Red Cat too!) She is very helpful and generally responded to messages quickly.
The location of Danika's apartment was perfect! And the apartment itself was just what we needed. Very happy with our stay.
Appartment was just as advertised. Clean and well kept. Quiet neighborhood with easy access to resturants and shops nearby. Great location all the amenities we needed. Owner was responsive and easy to communicate with.
I stayed four nights at Danika's place with my friend and her 6-month-old baby and everything went extremely well! The apartment looks exactly like in the photos, the description is very honest and accurate, there's lots of light and everything was clean. The beds were very comfortable. Especially the real bed I slept in was heavenly. There was space in the closets to hang up our clothes and lots of floor space for the stroller etc. There was everything we needed in the kitchen and bathroom.
--- I didn't meet Danika in person but she answered our messages quickly and you get a very detailed manual for the apartment once you've made the reservation. It has a photo guide for picking up the keys from right next to the apartment, recommendations for restaurants, shops etc. in the area etc. The area is amazing with galleries, restaurants, cafés and the high line right around the corner and easy access to subway etc. Many attractions are walkable.
--- In the description of the apartment Danika warns about the climb up to the fifth floor but first of all in European terms it's only the fourth. And secondly we proved that it's possible to carry a stroller+baby+groceries up and down the stairs every day. :D It's not ideal but it's definitely doable!
--- The apartment itself worked well with the baby: we could put her to bed and have a conversation in the dining room without waking her up and the curtain between the two beds provided enough privacy for them and me.
--- If I have to come up with something negative, the street is a bit noisy but it's just normal NYC traffic that I don't think you can avoid anywhere in Manhattan. I slept like a baby (as did the actual baby as well) but if you're a sensitive sleeper it might be an issue. The bathroom might not rise to the same level with the rest of the apartment in size and beauty but there's natural light, a tub, a shower with hot water (good pressure) and good selection of toiletries so no real complaints there, just a comment, in case you're dreaming of romantic bubble baths or the like...
--- Overall our stay was wonderful at Danika's place! I highly recommend it!
The apartment is in a really good location surrounded by contemporary art galleries and restaurants. You can virtually jump on to the High Line and the views from the roof are great. The interior is warm and welcoming - once you have tackled those stairs! Danika was extremely helpful and provided lots of information. The apartment was exactly as listed. Thanks Danika :)
Danika is a really great person with good energy and vibes. I hosted her just one night but we had time to have great time and we went together to friends' party! I hope she had fun in this Europe tour and I hope to meet her again but this time... in NYC! :)
