Ciao sono Manuela,
affitto le camere e le barche sul molo a Vernazza, vivo qui con la mia famiglia.
Mi piace il mare e mi piace dipingere.
We didn't get stay at the place we book...view and wifi. Last minutes Manuela toll us place was not avalilable and offer what she calld better place. Very small no view no wifi and no cell signal , we have to walk about 100 feet outside to get cell signal and she never return my text onece we check in.
We loved our stay in Manuela's little apartment! We had originally booked a slightly bigger place, but when we arrived she informed us that the bathroom was broken and moved us to another one of her rentals. Manuela was really sweet and waited for us at the Vernazza train station. Our train was late and she ended up having to wait for us for almost an hour. We felt terrible but she was incredibly nice about it. Thank you so much Manuela! We had a great time. We'll definitely be back soon!
As advertised, great location, apartment small and basic but perfectly adequate, met at train station on arrival. Would recommend.
Perfect location and cute little apartment, very clean! Manuela was a great host. We have a lovely time during our short stay.
As this was near the end of our Europe trip, my friends and I didn't remember exactly the airbnb pictures of this apartment so when we got there, we thought it seemed a bit small but we didn't question it. Turns out that we didn't stay in the apartment that we booked; we stayed in a much smaller and simpler (but still adequate) place. I wish Manuela would have informed us of this change either prior to arrival or even when we met her. When we met her, she didn't say anything about the apartment being different than what was booked. I don't think the apartment we stayed in cost as much as the one we had booked.
For wifi, we went downstairs to the Pirate cafe.
For laundry, we went downstairs to the laundromat. Washer costs 7 euros, dryer costs 5 euros.
Overall, the place we stayed in was fine. Everything was clean, beds were comfortable, shower was good. When the sofa bed is pulled out, the kitchen becomes super tiny so it really feels like you're sleeping in a kitchen.
Location was good.
Very clean apartment, very comfortable, ideal location. Host was extremely helpful and accommodating. We had an absolutely lovely stay.
Welcome: When we arrived in La Spezia, we called Manuela to let her know that we would be arriving in Vernazza shortly. Manuela picked up within a few rings and informed us that she was unable to meet us at the train station. Instead she sent a nice friend of hers (Francesca) who brought us to the apartment.
Location: The room is located on the Cinque Terre path between Corniglia and Vernazza. In Rick Steve's review of Vernazza, he notes there are two sides - "Sciuiu (Vernazzan dialect for "flowery") is the sunny side on the left, and luvegu (dank) is the shady side on the right." This AirBnB is located on the right-side, so it is cool and does not receive a lot of direct sunlight, which is great for sleeping in. The location is up a few flights of stone steps from the main road (not an issue for us since we had backpacks), so it really makes you feel like a local!
Accommodation: The room was well stocked with two towels, several smaller towels, dishes, silverware, and little shampoos. Kitchen had a sink, mini-fridge, and electric kettle. There is not a stove (someone mentioned that there was in another review). The dining room table had a small printout of information about Vernazza. The Cinque Terre's all about unplugging, and as advertised, Manuela's apartment did not have a TV or wifi. We were glad! The bathroom was small but on par with other European bathrooms I've stayed in. It had a great hot water heater. There is one large window on the north side that has those green, characteristic shutters, and it let in some great breezes. Finally, the bed is two twins pushed together but you can hardly tell.
You could tell that the room had been recently cleaned (smelled like bleach), but there was still a slight odor by the stone wall. I think the two large cabinets were supposed to be locked but we opened them to unpack and found a smoky smelling blanket in one and miscellaneous items (for re-stocking the apt, romance novels, etc) in the other. There is no direct view of the ocean from the apartment.
Communication: Manuela was great at responding to our messages and picked up the phone each time we called with questions. She was very friendly.
The location, hospitality, and accommodation were all nice. I would recommend this AIrBnB to anyone who is looking for a good base to explore the Cinque Terre.
Manuela's place was simple & very clean. The only caution is that, even though the listing states there's wifi & a washer...there isn't any wifi in the apt due to the flood & the washer is 7€ per load at the laundromat downstairs. However everything else is brand new & nice! I highly recommend Il Pirata downstairs - the breakfast & dinners are fantastic! And they have wifi. Overall - a beautiful city & great place for my family to stay.
Very nice room...clean and spacious. Located in the heart of Vernazza. No view, but a very good restaurant just down the stairs. Good value.
