Quiet and friendly atmosphere. The banana bread was fantastic! Thanks!
Rebecca is a warm and wonderful person and the little cottage was a good place to write! Her Garden is amazing - a great hideaway on a beautiful island.
Very nice setting and a complete and cozy cottage. Homebaked apple crisp was unexpected and appreciated. Nice stay and would stay again.
Just about perfect for what I needed. Rebecca was and is an incredible host and very accommodating. I sent my request last minute for the same day and she got back to me and made it happen. She even set out a nice apple crisp for me when I got there!
The cabin is cozy and quiet and was perfect on an autumn weekend in the Puget Sound. The walk to the beach is nice and, though it was a typical fall day and was spitting rain at me I walked the beach for a couple of hours and saw many many beautiful birds, animals and plants. At night the wind and rain died down and i got to listen to two owls talking across the woods for a while. So peaceful and quiet!
In summation, this place is off the beaten path, down some beautiful and winding country roads and if you're looking for a nice little place to clear your head... This place is bar none, one of the best in the Seattle area!
This was a great place to stay -- as noted, it's a small place, so great for a couple (or a couple with a small child, as we were) but probably no more people than that. Rebecca was a fantastic host, and it was a very peaceful and relaxing place to stay, and amazingly affordable on an island where most vacation places are pretty expensive. We'll definitely be back!
This was my third visit to Rebecca's guest house. It is such a lovely place for a retreat. I brought my husband along this time. A little slice of heaven, beautiful grounds. amazing view of Mt. Rainier and Rebecca is such a gracious host. I love the location, it is close to the beach and off the beaten track enough to feel like you really are getting away from it all but not to far to go into town and pick up what you need. I highly recommend it. I will be back!
Point Robinson Cottage is a charming little cabin on the beautiful grounds of a compound at a remote corner of Vashon Island.
The cottage has a small living room with a mini-fridge, microwave and a few dishes suitable for making breakfast, lunch or a snack. A step up is a small bedroom with a double bed and dresser. An adjoining bathroom has a good-sized shower, but no tub. On the walls are beautiful photographs by the owner's artist daughter, and plenty of windows let in light, air and lovely views. The cabin is small but is laid out well making good use of the available space.
The grounds are planted with many varieties of flowers and hung with Tibetan Prayer flags. Numerous wind chimes ring and click in the breeze. We were visited one morning by a hummingbird. There is also a great view of Mt. Rainier.
There are a few cats in the yard that mind their own business. They have their own little log cabin.
An easy walk down the road leads to a rocky beach.
The other side of a quiet idyllic location is distance - it's a 20 minute drive into town. We were visiting for a family wedding so we had several different events to attend. While long, the drive was not unpleasant, down country lanes, along beautiful shorelines, with frequent deer sightings.
Rebecca, the host, was very friendly, charming and helpful.
All-in-all a wonderful retreat. Highly recommended!
It is an amazing place, you have to go hear if you wanna relax. Rebecca is such a gracoius host, nicest person I ever met. I.felt rejuvenated after my experience and cant wait to go back.
If you are looking for a place to relax, refresh and renew, the Point Robinson Cottage will not disappoint. The setting is peaceful, serene and romantic and Rebecca is a gracious and accomodating host. Don't miss Vashon and don't miss the Point Robinson cottage.
This is a small, compact and exquisitely peaceful little building nestled in a very rural area of Vashon Island. For the right guests, who want what this is, it will provide a lovely respite. Be sure you get good directions if you are going to arrive late, given the nature of rural roads.
An easy guest who came and went without any problems. However the way Airb&b have it set up about pets is totally misleading. Rebecca thought that dogs were welcome and they are not. Airb&b needs to change that. I like to keep the cabins pet free as there are people who are allergic. Thank you. Margareta
Rebecca was a pleasure to work with. She also went above and beyond in cleaning and tidying up my condo before she left. I would love to have her back again!
Rebecca was a great guest. Clean, courteous, and good communication!
