I like meeting new people, henging out with my friends, exploring new destination and of course all that a has to be recorded through an interesting take. Photography is my great love next to psychology which is what I do.
I had a very nice and relaxing stay at Kristina's family house for a week in late October. The apartment is just as described and Kristina and her parents are very welcoming, making sure that everything is perfect and one feels comfortable.
Ivanica is a very quiet place and perfect for peace and relaxation after visiting busy and touristy Dubrovnik. If one comes by car, it is no problem at all as crossing the borders between Bosnia and Croatia is pretty much just a formality. If one does not have a car like me, it gets a bit more adventurous as currently there is only one direct bus from Ivanica to Dubrovnik at 10:30 in the morning. Coming back one has to get off in Gornij Brgat (on the Croatian side) and walk some 25 minutes, crossing the border on foot, to get back to Kristina's house.
Most bus travel to either other parts in Bosnia, Croatia or into Montenegro originate from Dubrovnik, so this is really the transportation hub ... unless you have your own transportation of course.
It is possible however that Kristina, her parents or neighbours going into Dubrovnik can drop you off or pick you up.
My thanks again to Kristina and her parents to make my stay at their house, in Ivanica and that part of Bosnia a memorable one.
Kristina an her family made us a very warm welcome and have always been so helpful. Not only did they tell us some of the most beautiful places to see in the area but they also provided new towels and bedsheets for us every week.
We felt very safe and enjoyed both the company of the family and the many cats and dogs there.
Dubrovnik is only a few minutes by car away, to Montenegro it is about 45 minutes. Although we were a bit worried about the border beforehand, there have never been any troubles.
Kristina and her family were some of the most wonderful and caring people I have ever met! They are so genuinely nice and welcoming and made me feel right at home! They went above and beyond to help me in any way they could, and they even let me join them for a family cookout. Not only were they great hosts, but the apartment was beautiful, clean, and spacious. I loved every minute of my stay, and I hope that I'll be able to return sometime in the future! Best airb&b experience I've had!
I totally enjoyed my experience at Kristina's house. The house is clean, comfortable and people are really kind. Kirstina's cousin picked me up at the airport and everything was okay. I stayed there with other people and they rented a car, which is better for transportation. But you can walk and take the public transportation too. It is a 25 min walking.
Kristina is always helpful with the places you want to visit and any information you need for visiting the city. I recommend this place and I will be back if I can.
Kristina gave us the warmest welcome possible. Her house is very well located if you want to visit Dubrovnik. You can be just a lone traveller or a family, it is a great spot to stop by. She and her family are very friendly and helpful. I recommend you her place! And I will personally come back as soon as possible.
Kristina and her parents are by far the nicest people we've ever met!!! We had a warm welcome with cold water and juice as well as some sweets. The apartment was very nice and clean with everything you need. The house is just in front of the border and Dubrovnik is at 10-15 min driving. Kristina and her parents gave us all the directions and everything we needed to know about the place, Dubrovnik and a bit of the history of the city. We would definitely recommend a stay at Kristina's apartment because you'll be treated as a guest and not as a customer.
I had an amazing weekend in Ivanica! Kristina and her family were so kind and always helpful. Kristina offered me to pick me up at the airport, so I could reach the apartment easily. For me it was a real pleasure to stay in this clean and comfortable apartment and to sit
on the terrace in the evening enjoying the view over the small village of Ivanica and the mountains!
Kristina is amazing hostess. I had such a short time of stay in Dubrovnik but thanks to her, I could enjoy the most of the city.
She came to the airport to pick us up and drove back and forth to the old town and her place. We spent great evening together at the hidden bar by the beautiful Adrian sea. That was really cool.
Her house is about 15 mins drive from the town center. You will have great experience to cross the border every time you go home. I love the stamps on my passport.
The house is spacious, tidy and clean. I will definitelz recomend this place and especially the hostess Kristina.
Thank you for everything Kristina, I will visit you someday again.
I was welcomed into a clean and tidy bedroom that contained philosophical books and surrealist paintings, and given free reign over the top floor of the house, with a balcony that overlooked the other side of the village. It's hard to imagine anybody not enjoying their time in the care of Kristina and her family; they put me completely at ease and took the utmost effort in caring for all my needs. Although my stay here was cut short by other commitments, it will always be one of my fondest memories of my journey around the world.
