Retired from a Wall Street career as a software developer; I now manage my real estate investments and have lots of leisure time to enjoy both rural and urban lifestyles. My wonderful fiancé, Stephen, and I go on frequent travel adventures here in the U.S. and overseas. In the past two years we have been to Borneo, the Philippines, Singapore, India, Belgium, the Netherlands, Scotland, England, and throughout Central America not to mention up and down the U.S. East Coast. I enjoy the great metropolitan areas of the world and for 24 years lived and worked in New York City. I have fond memories of the intelligence, industriousness, and passion of the people there and the thrills I experienced at lectures, discussion groups, and the theater.
Back at home in Texas, I love the landscape and wildlife; fun in Terlingua and Big Bend; and quiet time at home to think, read, and write. Texans are remarkable both for their sense of self-reliance and their neighborliness.
I lean libertarian, and my pastimes are reading history and economics, enjoying great conversation, gardening, dancing, and hiking
