We had a good time in Punta del Diablo even though it was the off season. We stayed for nearly one month ending June 21. There were a surprising number of mosquitos for how cold it was. We're from Florida so we are used to that. Don't be put off by the mosquisto nets. They were a big help.
Evan was one of only two property owners we found in Uruguay and Argentina who reduced his price for short term, off season renters. The cabin was well worth the money. It was comfortable and well equipped.
Evan and his family were good guests. They did however, leave a bit of a mess and at least one of their children was extremely loud quite often.
