I'm originally from outside of New York City, but I moved to Chicago for undergrad and then stayed for awhile. I came back to New York for grad school, and now I work at an arts education organization, working with public high schools in NYC's 5 boroughs to build and support their arts programs.
I love to dance (West African, samba and modern), and I am most relaxed when I am cooking and baking in my surprisingly large kitchen. I'm a big reader; the weekend is incomplete without a couple of hours spent with the New York Times and a leisurely meal.
I'm a respectful and tidy guest and vouch that the friends I travel with are as well. (Who wants to travel with the equivalent of Pig-Pen from Peanuts??) The last big trip I took was a road trip through Appalachia, borrowing my dad's car, and -- I swear! -- the car was in better shape when I brought it back home than it was when we pulled out of the driveway.
