Very Nice relaxed appartment at Nice location. Walking distance to la Bastille and metro. Easy Communication with owner. We stayed with 2 children.
With my family (four people), We stayed in this apartment for four nights in October 2014. Carolyn communicated all instructions clearly and gave lots of advance notice before travel. Since Rafael did not meet on time I called Tatiana then Rafael come to meet us and he was late about fourty minutes. He clearly explained all the necessary things we needed to know. Toilet was not cleaned adequately. We did not sleep in comfortable, since pillows are very thin. There were two towels in bathroom but there should be four towels because we were four people. My suggestion to Carolyn, she should control cleaning, put towels according to people numbers and change bed and put thick and big pillows as spare. Other things for flat was exactly as described. Kitchen was fully equipped so that we had breakfast every day. It was especially nice to have dishwasher, hairdryer and washing clothes. Location was great - just minutes from several metro stops, great patisserie around the corner and big groceries within 10 minutes. You do have great walking across the river, which is nice. Although We had some complaints, We recommend for visitors to Paris.
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday (3 people).
No concerns about the area - the appartment itself is safe (front door locked, door in lobby locked, appartement door locked)
street is fairly noisy but okay with the window closed, super market is a bit far away.
the location is sensational - and so is the bakery around the corner
you will need to do a lot of 'metro ups-and-downs' to make up for the delicious flans, pain au chocolats and baguettes
but eh - c'est Paris !!! ... and we loved it !!!
We stayed in this lovely apartment for four nights in October 2014. The pictures are accurate in showing a clean and comfortable living space. We did not use the kitchen much, but the living and dining areas and the bedroom were excellent places to relax after a long day of exploring Paris. A metro stop is very close to the apartment, which connects you anywhere in the city. Rafael was very helpful at checkin. The balcony was great and the heavy glass doors eliminated the loud traffic noise on the street below. Recommended for visitors to Paris.
This is a lovely apartment, with so many special touches. The kitchen is fully stocked (spices and oil, tea and coffee). Great to cook in. The bed big and comfortable. Great shower. Great Wifi. The host was easy to get in touch with.
The apartment is a little out of the way, so be prepared to walk. Perhaps not for the first time Parisian visitor, as you will have to take subways to get to the major sites. You do have great walking across the river, which is nice. We recommend La Rotisserie Beaujelais on the Left Bank, which is open on Sunday nights. We never used the balcony as there is a roadway just beneath it which is very loud, also there was construction going on next door. But it's still a pretty view.
We stayed for 7 nights. Overall experience was outstanding. Carolyn communicated all instructions clearly and gave lots of advance notice. Rafael met us and clearly explained all the necessary things we needed to know - especially the 3 keys and door locks. Flat was spotless and exactly as described - roomy and spacious for the two of us. Kitchen was fully equipped so that we ate breakfast there every day and also fixed two complete dinners, one of which we ate on the patio watching the sunset over the Seine. It was especially nice to have dishwasher, clothes washer AND dryer. Furnishing tasteful and bed very comfortable. Location was great - just minutes from several metro stops, great patisserie around the corner and big groceries within 10 minutes. Rafael was also responsive during the week when we ha question about one of the appliances. All in all a great experience.
This is a wonderful, spacious - actually fairly large by Paris standards for a 1 bedroom - apartment on the edge of the Marais, easily walkable to Notre Dame, Latin Quarter, and other great areas.
It looks exactly like it does in the pictures, and as the other reviewers attest, the bed is so comfortable! It also has loads of natural light, and a great bathroom with a tub and shower, as well as a good gas stove, a dishwasher, and a washer/dryer. And, the small deck overlooking the Seine is such a treat! Paris is a rather noisy city, and it's on a somewhat busy section of road, but the apartment itself is very quiet.
There is a fabulous boulangerie around the corner and an even better bistro (Le Petit Celestine) a 7 minute walk down the street.
Rafael greeted us and was super nice and helpful, and there was even an "apartment user's manual" in case you forget anything he told you!
The appartement was perfect: near les Halles and far 15/20 minutes to Notre Dame. Silent and comfortable. Rafael, the guy who made our check in was very polite and expleined us everything. The appartement was clean, the bathroom perfect.
Spent a week in paris in the apartment. Location is great, building and apartment extremely pleasant and well equipped, Carolyn was extremely helpful with arrival and departure. whole heartedly recommended! Lucia and Arie New Jersey
