I'm am a multimedia artist living the good life in New York City. I love traveling and yummy foods.
Rough experience. Even though we had texted to clarify when I arrive, Priscilla made me wait for almost 1.5 hours, which ruined the only night I had to explore the city. Luckily, one of her room mates was there to at least let me in, otherwise I would have ended up waiting in the hallway. Not sure why she hadn't told any of the other 5? people living in her apartment that I was coming.
She also forgot to mention that the apartment is a 6th story walkup...
When it turned out that she couldn't provide a key, she yelled at me that she just has to get a new one made and I should text her the next day and meet her half way so she can give it to me. Since I was in NYC for a conference, that was not an option for me. Fortunately her roommate gave me his key, otherwise I would not have been able to get in.
Priscilla didn't provide a towel, refrigerator space or any other support, and I am not sure if the bed was freshly made or not. I have used airbnb quite a bit, this was not the experience I would recommend.
We had a great stay at Priscilla's. We did not get a chance to meet her but her roommates were very nice, the apartment is spacious, luminous and quiet. You are not far from the LES and a lot of great places to go out. Thank you Priscilla for having us over!
