We stayed here for 1 night whilst we were in Austin and we wish we could have stayed longer! Beds were comfy, house was so clean, Kate was great to speak with letting us know exactly what we needed to know about the house which made it a breeze. Will definitely be staying here again if we come back to austin.
Great place to stay with three separate rooms. Thanks for the hospitality. Near downtown. Right by the lake.
We loved staying at this location! All 4 of us were comfortable and happy the entire length of our stay. Everything was so clean, tidy and organized. There was even a bottle of wine left for us on the counter which I thought was very sweet!
I didn't know Austin at all when I booked this place, but it couldn't have worked out any better. East Austin is a hip up and coming neighborhood with a mixture of both modern and traditional. We spent the first day walking around on Cesar Chaves St. There were bars and amazing food trucks like La Barbeque and Kurlins all within a 10-15min walking distance. We also walked down to Rainey Street and Downtown, which was about a 20 - 25 minute walk along the river. And if you like running - like I do - the park is only a block away and is perfect for a short run.
Overall, I would give this place 6 stars if I could! It was clean, comfortable, and Kate was communicative and easy to work with. Highly recommended!
Kate was terrific. Sent me an email with check in instructions. The place was immaculate and checked in with me frequently to see if everything was ok.
We felt welcomed the minute we stepped in the door with a bottle of wine and a fridge full of provisions waiting for us after a long day of travel. The apartment was just as described in the listing and delightfully clean. The host was responsive throughout the weekend whenever questions arose. The neighborhood is located east of interstate 35, sandwiched between E Cesar Chavez and the river. It's well positioned for easy access (by car) to downtown, popular shopping areas and recreation. This older neighborhood of single family homes with the constant song of local bird life and wild vegetation seems to be in transition both economically and visually--evidently East Austin in ground zero for a new wave of gentrification in the area. All that aside, the neighborhood is interesting in it's own right and warrants exploration. We would definitely stay here again--a great home base as you explore such a cool city like Austin.
This is a great place to stay. It's a comfortable place, with all the necessary amenities. It's also a charming and quiet neighborhood.
Kate was super flexible and accommodating. The house was perfect for our company at SXSW.
Great house in nice neighbourhood within walking distance of downtown. Kate was very welcoming with great service. Would certainly stay here again.
Kate's place was great - I was impressed by how clean and easy the check-in and check-out process was. I was very comfortable in the accommodations and would recommend to anyone visiting the area.
Kate's place was amazing! Beds were comfortable. The place was very clean with plenty of room. Porch/deck was quiet and soothing. She had beer and drinks in the fridge upon arrival. Coffee and amenities in the kitchen. The house was in a great area with shops and restaurants in walking distance. A quick mile walk to White Horse, Cisco's and many other places. Any Uber ride to downtown areas was around $5, so it was a great place to have "headquarters".
Kate was here for work and had very little free time so I barely saw her. She left the room better than she found it. I would welcome her again anytime. For her sake, I would hope she had more free time to explore all the area has to offer!
