Spent a lovely weekend on Lucy's farm. Exactly as advertised. Spacious and quiet, both indoors and out. The location is amazing. The island is within easy striking distance of all the area's attractions, but allows you to return to absolute tranquility. Lucy is also a great and accommodating host. Had an amazing time.
One could not dream up a place as magical as Lucys farm... I came up to escape the grinder of city life, a semi-sabbatical of sorts. Nothing brings you down to earth faster than walking through the woods, tilling your feet against the current of the river and then retiring for the evening through a barn stall up to your sleeping quarters... The most eloquently decorated pad Ive stayed in to date. Lucy was the icing on the cake... Warm, considerate of my privacy, friendly and helpful when approached about area amenities. I cant wait to return...
Beautiful and sunny clean and tastefully decorated apartment was waiting for us along with our kind hostess, Lucy when we arrived. She provided all the necessities (towels, clean sheets, maps of the private island, books, even pens for writing), but gave us the privacy we needed. One morning we were greeted by the "resident" hare and a deer, and she also let us enjoy the birds and squirrels that frequent her feeders. Such a piece of paradise and tranquility. We shared a glass of wine one evening to chat about life, and enjoyed watching the fireflies. Our hostess provided great suggestions to visit surrounding towns and local points of interest. Each morning, we woke up naturally with the fresh scent of nature outside - intoxicating and precious. So is Lucy and this stay in her beautiful place.
We LOVED our brief stay at Lucy's completely magical and gorgeous abode. Lucy is a warm and welcoming person, and her property is stunning. We spent 2 nights here and enjoyed the green rolling views, her beautiful and tidy property, our cozy and clean apartment above the barn, and walks down to the river that surrounds the entire island. We had a few local meals that were delicious and recommended by her. We'll definitely be back!
Lucy's apartment was just as described and perfect for our honeymoon trip up the Maine coast. The island is stunning and very accessible to the mid-coast area. Her apartment is clean, tidy and comfortable. Lucy was very hospitable and easy to contact.
Lucy's place is absolutely beautiful - the entire property. The little Airbnb apartment over the barn was perfect, exactly what I'd hoped for when I saw her listing. I was in Newcastle for three days: a mini, self-designed writing retreat. The place was clean and comfortable, the kitchen had everything I needed to make the few meals I ate in (lots of great dining within short driving distance), and I got a lot of work done. Wonderful weekend! I'm torn between recommending highly, and keeping this all to myself. Thank you, Lucy.

The farm is a beautiful spot - a great apartment and perfect place to relax and unwind. Lucy was a wonderful host - welcoming and attentive, great with local tips, and also gave us plenty of personal space during our stay.
I would definitely recommend this for a stay in Maine!
Lucy was fabulous, and her place was just as described in the listing—peaceful, cozy (yet more than enough space for two people to lounge around), and full of character. What a perfect winter vacation in Maine. Can't wait to make it back here and enjoy more hikes in utter tranquility!
Lucy and the Farm were amazing. Lucy was incredibly helpful and accommodating, and the location and apartment were so nice. The farm was a very nice central location for all our travels around the area, and we hope we can go back soon.
The guest quarters full apartment) are very spacious and really beautiful. It was a very peaceful place to rest and get away. This is they type of location that makes AirBNB so great. We could have found another place to stay in the area, but it would have been nearly as memorable as our stay on the Island Farm with Lucy.
