To stay at Zoes apartment was awesome... She has such a nice crib!! Very clean and quiet :-) There was not any problem she couldnt handle with. She left (email hidden) book for "what to do" in SF which helped us a lot... :-) Thanks for being this nice and helpful... I really hope to meet you some day - maybe in Berlin! You are always invited to stay with us... :-) Thanks for everything Zoe!!!
Zoe was a great host! She allowed a last minute reservation right before she went out of town, and set everything up for us to check in a couple hours later. We enjoyed our stay in the wonderful area. Definitely recommend staying here as it's nearby the presidio, golden gate park, Golden Gate Bridge, etc. Thanks again Zoe!
You found the best place to stay!!!!!!! Zoe's place was GREAT!!! we were lucky to have the place to ourselves. She was very accommodating, she made every effort to have someone meet us for the check-in as she was not there. A lot of character with views overlooking a park. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Full kitchen, well stocked with yummy treats she had left us for breakfast.
Great location. 10 min bus gets you to most places you want to see. Lots to do in the neighborhood as well. Close to a great bakery she recommended. Cool boutique bookstore. Couple of very delicious restaurants in walking distance.
My friend and I enjoyed our stay at Zoe's place very much! The apartment is located in a hip area with many cool shops, bars and restaurants. It is very multicultural but there are no tourists. Thanks to this location we discovered a different side of New York.
Subway stations are in near walking distance and a taxi ride from Manhatten costs between 15 and 30 dollars (depending on where in Manhatten you start).
The apartment was very clean, with fancy pieces of furniture. In the morning we could hear very clearly the noises from the stairway and the street. But we both have a deep sleep so this was no problem for us.
Had a great stay in Brooklyn! I appreciated the light being on when we arrived as it was very late at night. Also appreciated the food stuffs for breakfast. The bed was very comfortable! Not a lot of extra space in the bedroom for our luggage, but we managed fine. If you are a light sleeper keep in mind the streets can be a bit noisy (my husband slept right through it). Close to the park and markets. Safe neighborhood. I would recommend Zoe's place as an affordable and comfortable place to stay!
The neighborhood is a laid back neighborhood with many restraunt's and bars. The walk to and from the subway felt easy and safe. The apartment is cozy and cutely decorated. The apartment was perfect for me and our friends. Zoe was a real sweetheart.
Amazing! Zoe and Ceara were great hosts, they were both really helpful recommending things to do around Brooklyn.
The house was super clean and a short walk to the subway.
Would definitely stay here again
Zoë wasn't there during our stay, so we had the entire apartment for ourselves. Even though she wasn't there, she was a wonderful host, prepared everything and left us things for breakfast in the fridge - she even baked some delicious banana bread for us (yummy!). The apartment itself is very cozy and decorated with much care. The only downside is that there is no subway station nearby - but if you don't mind a 15 minute walk, it's a great place to stay if you're visiting Brooklyn/Manhattan. We enjoyed our stay a lot and would definitely stay at Zoë's place again!
Zoe and Ceara have been amazing hosts- I can't wait to stay again ! I had such a wonderful time in their beautifully decorated place, I couldn't have asked for anything better. The cosy Greenpoint apartment has a great location in Brooklyn, it has a welcoming community feel with many nice shops, cafes and the cutest park to take a stroll around.
The girls left delicious breakfast food in the fridge for when I arrived and made me feel right at home straight away. They certainly went that extra mile to ensure I had the most comfortable and friendly stay in NYC. Thank you ladies :)
Zoe and Ceara's place is BEAUTIFUL. Gorgeous wooden floorboards, white walls and the best thrift-store chic decor. The kitchen and bathroom are super clean and neat, and the kitchen has everything you need to make meals. There was even juice, yoghurt and bagels waiting for me when i arrived. The neighbourhood is safe - I was traveling alone and walked around a lot by myself and always felt fine.
The only thing is if you are sleeping late (which I was!), the room is bright and a tiny bit noisy in the mornings. Having said that, I loved lying in bed reading with the sunlight coming through the windows.
I loved my stay and recommend it for sure.
It was a pleasure meeting and hosting Zoe and her sister. They were perfect guests. They took good care of our studio and were great with our animals.
I stayed with Ceara and Zoe for a whole week and it was a blast! The location is super perfect for getting into Manhattan (just take the water taxi or one of the easy subway stops very close by). The apartment is lovely - clean, calm, inviting - all the elements you look for when finding a respite from the go-go-go of NYC. The neighborhood is incredible - lots of amazing indie bars and shops - very close to all that Brooklyn has to offer (including House of Vans, which hosts tons of free shows). Located north of Williamsburg, Greenpointe has many attributes that Brooklyn likes to show off..without all the hubbub and hipster madness. Plus, you get to meet Zoe's incredible roommate and enjoy having tea and Ritter's chocolate. That's worth the stay, alone!
Seriously, I had an amazing time and was thrilled to be able to stay so close to everything within a serene, inviting environment. I can't wait to return!
I have stayed at Zoe's in Brooklyn twice and I absolutely loved it both times. She lives in a great location in a great apartment with a very cool and easy going room mate. With a short walk to the subway and a short trip into the city you can easily explore all that Manhattan has to offer but don't forgot to take a good look at Brooklyn. There are some cool indie bars, cafes, restaurants and shops in the direct area that Zoe lives and I highly recommend the East River Ferry...for $4 you can't ask for a better view of the NYC skyline! Ok...I want to go back now.
