He was on time to provide key and very helpful and warm when he received us
Welcome bottle of cava
Main door to the building unable to lock
Queue to the Picasso museum so packed there is noise all day long
The apartment looked like it had not been cleaned for a month!
The central heating does not work so small electric heater are not enough
Careful with hot water, the water tank ends if you are 2 and take a long shower
The shower head was broken making the water splash everywhere but he had a replacement shower head and I could manage to change it

Overall, we had a pleasant stay as Sergio is a great host and was very willing to help when we had problems with the apartment. He seems like a great guy! Let's start with the positives...
The location is wonderful! It's right across from the Picasso museum, less than a 5-minute walk to metro Jaume I, and within walking distance of everything else. It's about a 15-minute walk down to Barceloneta beach, which was nice. The apartment itself is charming as well.
Unfortunately, though, we did have some problems...
Firstly, the apartment advertises having a jacuzzi, but the hot water didn't even fill the bathtub half full (it was only about 1/4 full) before running out, and it took nearly an hour before the water heater produced anymore hot water... When we finally filled the tub, the jacuzzi jets didn't even work.
Secondly, there were tons and tons of candles in the apartment, and at first we thought it was to set a romantic atmosphere. When we returned on our second night, however, the power was out in the apartment and we didn't have electricity which was quite frustrating since we'd just checked in to charge up our phones and things. We hung out by candlelight for a few hours then went back out. The power did come back on before morning, and Sergio was really wonderful about helping us with candles and everything, but I can't help but think there's something wrong electrically with the apartment seeing as the lights were on across from us and through the rest of the street. A little bit worrisome!
Lastly, the shower head is loose and flew all over the place soaking the bathroom, which was actually kind of funny :D. Just be careful about how high you turn on the shower because the water pressure makes the shower head spin out.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend paying this much for this apartment, but the location and the host are both lovely. Sorry, Sergio!
nice flat, seemed a little old on photos but everything was fine, couldn't manage to use the jaccuzzi though. The location in city is amazing, you can manage to see everything except the parc guell by foot.
The apartment is lovely and in a perfect location - opposite the Picasso museum and very close to lots of restaurants/bars in a great neighbourhood. Lots to see within walking distance. Sergio was a great host. There was a problem with the electrics when we stayed, but he sorted it out as quickly as he could and was very apologetic - he even bought us breakfast to say sorry! As I said, the neighbourhood is great, but it is a bit noisy at night, so if you're a light sleeper have some earplugs at the ready! I highly recommend the apartment.
Extremely well located apartment and a very nice host. Small problem with wifi connection at the time of my stay but host resolved it quickly and politely. Recommended.
Friendly host, very tidy and supercentral place to discover Barcelona!
