I am and educator at the ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science Center in Burlington, VT and love my job. I think Vermont is the most beautiful place in the world and cherish living here everyday. I am always looking for opportunities to be outside, adventuring with other people. I think each day is an opportunity for adventures great and small. My greatest ambition is to lead a good life. My list of what the good life is is always expanding but includes: trail food, cycling adventures, salamander sitings, general stores, canoe camping, epic Sunday brunches, and fiddle music.
I love literary non-fiction and greatly anticipate when the new Best American Essays collection comes out each October.
My favorite works of fiction include: The March, Cold Mountain, Einstein's Dreams, The Mixed-up Files of Mrs Basil E Frankweiler, and The Baron in the Trees.
I am a long-form journalism devotee and my sources include: The New Yorker, TED Talks, The New York Times, The Atlantic, & NPR.
I think the best shows to ever be on television include: Battlestar Galactica & The Wire.
Upcoming shows I am excited about coming to Vermont include: M Ward, Andrew Bird, & Old Crow Medicine Show.
I am a passionate cook of all genres of food. I recently made some delicious wild ramp samosa with rhubarb chutney in celebration of spring.
