I grew up all over the East Coast and attended high school and college in Vermont. In high school I had the opportunity to travel to Spain with my Spanish class for 10 days. It was the first time I had ever gone abroad and I absolutely adored the experience. So, while I was a student at the University of Vermont I knew I wanted to study abroad for a semester. Because of my deep Swedish roots I chose to study in Växjö, Sweden. It was an incredible experience!
Currently, I work for a non-profit in Portland, OR that focuses on moving research to action by promoting wise investments in earl-childhood so that every child enters kindergarten ready to succeed in school and life. My co-workers are awesome and I love the change that we are working towards together.
I have been bitten by the travel bug and am always planning my next adventure, whether it be to a new country or just a few hours from my home.
