Our family has enjoyed staying at other people's airbnb's and hosting people at ours! Amy is a professor, Bob is a first-second grade teacher, and our son is...well, we're biased but he's pretty incredible.

We really enjoyed our time at Amy's house and the surrounding area. The house was clean and welcoming. Although we did not meet Amy, her friend Kathy welcomed us and was very helpful. Thank you!
Amy's friend Kathy gave us a warm welcome and we spent a very nice three days in the Boston area with the house as our base. We chose it because it could accommodate a couple with a child -- we have a teenager. It's in a great location near Davis Square and the T. We only used our car once in three days. The house really reminded me of our student days in the Cambridge area, so it was perfect for our trip down memory lane.
My two daughters and I stayed at Amy’s house during our visit to Boston to visit colleges. We did not meet Amy (though we communicated with her to make our arrangements, and after being in her house, I have the pleasure of feeling that I met her!). Her friend Kathy, who lives around the corner in the same neighborhood, was our host. She was friendly and accommodating and we so appreciate her flexibility.
The house is in a quiet neighborhood very near Davis square in Somerville, which is lively, interesting and fun. On Kathy’s recommendation we had dinner at Out of the Blue, a seafood restaurant just off Davis Square, and had an absolutely terrific meal—better than the meals we enjoyed on the North End in Boston. It was a short, easy walk to the Metro to get into Boston, and we felt safe even when we got home rather late one evening. The house is clean and comfortable and has a good vibe. We loved staying there and highly recommend it. Thank you Amy, and thank you so much Kathy!
Thanks so much, Eileen!
I'm so glad the visit went well, and will definitely take your suggestion for future guests. Best of luck with the college application/admission/decision process!
Great place, great location. I was very happy to have spent the time in Boston at this house and would do so again any time. I highly recommend!
My friend and I stayed in Amy's house for a few nights in summer. We were working from home during the day and then spent our weekend out exploring Cambridge and Boston. The best thing about this place was the location, Davis Square was very lively even during week nights, plenty of bars, restaurants, a theater and convenient access to the train (Davis Square T) that takes you into Boston easily. We preferred Davis Square vibe over Inman Square. The living spaces were a little awkward for working from and relaxing in, however it was fine for our couple of days we spent there. The beds were comfortable and there was AC in the bedrooms which was great for a few hot nights. The place is lived in, but clean - a housekeeper arrived unexpectedly one morning, but it was nice to have the place cleaned! The home would probably benefit from a fresh coat of paint inside, a garden tidy up and maybe a few comfy chairs and a coffee table for chilling out in. I can see how this would be a good option for anyone with kids or for longer stays where the books may be utilized, and again, the location was great! Thanks for having us!
We were very happy to have met Amy at the Wellstone Center! Everyone enjoyed Amy at our place and the baby goats were glad to experience Emy's caring too.
Happy 50th Birthday and thanks for sharing it with us!
Enjoyed the guests. Very tidy, cleaned up after themselves, and left the place in great shape. Love to have them again.
A nice family. They were extremely considerate of my space and very enthusiastic about their time here. I enjoyed having them. Welcome them.
I have known Amy for close to 15 years. She is responsible, considerate, and brilliant! Her home is located on a quiet street, close to the Red Line in Boston. An ideal location for exploring the city. Her home is comfortable and welcoming. I would stay there myself if I were in the Boston area!
I am Laura, Amy's sister, Max's Aunt and Bob's sister-in-law. Amy, Bob and Max are caring, compassionate people who care deeply about the well being of others and of the planet; they are as honest as the day is long- in the summertime, that is. (They are honest in the wintertime, too, by the way.) Bob is an enthusiastic teacher of young children in a local elementary school and Amy is a passionate teacher (professor) of big children at Suffolk University.
They are all avid readers, and if you stay at their house you will find more interesting books (for grown-ups and kids over 10) than at the Boston Public Library! They keep their house in good repair, and is clean, interesting and relaxing to stay in. Their house is in a nice, quiet neighborhood, and they are friends with several of their neighbors. Whenever I or other relatives stay there, they go out of their way to make sure we are comfortable and have everything we need. I know they will be great hosts!
Amy and I were inseparable when we were kids, and later were housemates in college. She has been an amazing friend through thick and thin for nearly 40 years now. She and Bob and their son Max are fun, interesting, considerate, and completely responsible and trustworthy. They would be great hosts or guests and you will enjoy meeting them!
Amy is an old friend, a brilliant academic and a spark of wit and pleasure. I have known her for about...30 years (eek)...have enjoyed her hospitality a number of times and would deem others lucky to have that opportunity.
