My apartment will be your home for the duration of your stay in this fantastic city and I will do everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Avoid this apartment! Let's be fair; here are the redeeming values: Pros: A wine bottle on the kitchen table upon arrival, bright kitchen with one door and window (only window in whole apartment), small but nice courtyard, fast internet, strong shower pressure. The cons however far outweigh the pros: no ventilation/windows in toilet and bedroom (potentially very hot and humid); quite noisy (the apartment entrance is down the stairs, closest to the bedroom and the main doors are constantly being slammed by other tenants). The courtyard is adjacent to a public space (old convent): noisy music shows can often be heard. Crucial: the key to the front door of apt. complex did not always work! I was stranded twice at late hours and the owners never apologized or offered a solution (other than using a stick to prevent the door from shutting). Acquiring the keys on the first day can be challenging (no concierge) and requires a very precise meeting time/location (in my case away from
the apartment). This is a problem if your plane is delayed. There are street people (and their dogs) sleeping on the apartment complex front steps making for unpleasant confrontations.
All in all, AVOID!
Thank you Grace for the reservation with Chez Tim.
A delight to deal with and the apartment was left in good shape.
