I was born in Riomaggiore 28 years ago.
I like travels, books and all the things that surprise me.

We didn't get a chance to meet Margherita, but through all our communication she seemed like a very sweet host. She gave us excellent directions to the apartment, and was very responsive (one note she missed, but that happens!). We did have a few issues that made our stay quite uncomfortable. The power for the room went out, and since there was no wifi in the apartment, we had to walk down to the nearest restaurant to use their wifi to email Margherita. She wrote back right away and sent her father to fix the issue who came from far (45 min away). Also the room was very cold and while the heater worked, it took some time to heat the room. The shower is incredibly small and uncomfortable but even worse is that there was enough hot water for only half of 1 shower - my shower was abruptly cut short by ice cold water and my husband didn't get to shower at all! The bed have some very sharp springs and the bed is actually 2 beds put together and they kept slipping apart so there was a 2 inch gap in the middle of the bed:(
I would definitely recommend this place to each and everyone.. Our host was amazing,, she directed us all the way although the she want there personally but we didn't face any difficulty.. Place is very near to the station that will enable you to go to one village to another.. And the house was beautiful.. Since we went there during the winter, many restaurants were closed so we cooked in the house.. Everything is equipped in the house.. It was very convenient.. I will definitely come here once again in near future..
It was well located and the host was waiting for us on time.
She gave us some tips about the village :)
Margherita was very nice and helpful! It was in a great Location as well!
Excellent apartment in great area. Recommend for anyone coming to the area. Great view!
Very convenient location and near to the train station. I was there in winter when the outside temperature was between 5-10°C but the room was still comfortably warm with a radiator. There is a fridge and some basic cups, plates, cutleries etc.
There is a boiler for hot water in the shower. Capacity of the boiler is limited so we had to keep showers really short. Ideally give it a few minutes before the second person showers.
The bed is on a queen size frame but is actually two single mattresses put together. You can feel the springs on the bed, but we slept fine on it.
Very smooth check in process. We met Margherita when we arrived and she handed us the keys personally. Had we arrived later she probably might not be there but it's easy enough to get into the place with her instructions.
Margherita's directions were fantastic, and we were able to check into our room with ease and on our own time given her nice system for getting room keys into our hands :). The notes that she leaves behind are also super nice, and you'd be remiss to ignore her great recommendations.
The only bit of a snag that we ran into is noisy neighbors in the room upstairs (fortunately they were nice enough to quiet down when we asked), and as there isn't great sound insulation from the surrounding rooms the noise won't be easily ignored. This was super minor, mind you, and I wouldn't recommend that anyone look elsewhere due to this; the pluses faaaaaaar outweigh this minor quip.
Super easy to find (just follow her directions), and a nice place to call home for a couple of days. We're happy that we stayed here, and would recommend Margherita's flat to anyone.
We arrived at night and the place proved a little tricky to find in the dark, and the directions Marga gave us before coming really helped us here. It's found in a quiet side-street very close to the main street of Riomaggiore and just a short walk from the train station. The room was very clean and well-equipped: glasses, plates, utensils, coffee, a fridge, and a kettle were all provided. Marga was very helpful and would always reply quickly by text if we needed anything, and on our door she left some great recommendations for places to visit during our stay. A word of advice: the hot water IS fairly short-lived as others have noted, so try to be quick with your showers.
Good room, but don't have wifi.
This is a charming place in a charming town. Our experience wasn't the best though. It was clean and well decorated, but there are a few things I'll mention for future guests. The hot water lasts about 3 to 4 minutes, the queen bed is actually two uneven twins put together, and we had not toilet paper when we arrived (luckily there was an empty room downstairs with an extra role). Aside from these things the place was very charming and served our needs.
