I work with clients at a small software firm in NYC
Ben was on-time to meet me with the keys, friendly, and helpful in finding things to do in the area. The room is cozy and there's plenty of room in the apartment. I'd definitely stay here again.
Great location--close to restaurants, shopping and the subway. Ben was quick to respond and easy-going.
Stayed there with four friends for five days. Perfect location, nice apartment which was spacious enough for the five of us. The whole process was extremely smooth and Ben was very flexible. Would definitely stay there again, therefore highly recommend.
Ben's apartment was in a great location - very close to shops, bars, restaurants and the metro. It was perfect for me and my 3 friends over xmas and new years as it had a fully furnished kitchen, living area and 2 bedrooms. The only critique I have to say is that the noise level guidelines were extremely extremely strict which wasn't ideal when we wanted to have a few friends around. However, all in all it was a great place to stay and I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone who is interested in the East Village area.
-Right in the middle of the East Village with bars and restaurants in every direction
-A large and quiet space, easily able to handle two couples etc.
-Washroom, hot water, kitchen all clean and serviceable (although eating out won the day)
-Very warm despite cool conditions outside
-Ben is a nice guy, very accommodating- I'd stay here again in a heart beat
Stayed there for 10 days...Ben was a nice host and apartment is in a perfect location! Recommended!
It was a real pleasure to stay in Ben's place and the location is just amazing, close of all conveniences. Some good restaurant in the
Had a great stay at Ben's apartment which was very spacious and accommodated my group of 4 people very comfortably. The apartment is in a a great location close to many bars and restaurants and is walking distance to major subway lines to get around the city easily
The appartment is very well located. It is about 15 minutes walk from Greenwich Village and Soho and there is a metro station 5 minutes away.
We had read other reviews saying that the place was dirty and thought the people were being peaky. But it turned out that it WAS dirty indeed. We can make the difference between an old flat and a dirty one and believe me this one was both. There were stains on the sheets in both rooms and also on the towels. We were even using flip flops to shower and there were many hair and dust on the bathroom floor.
One of the reason we rented a flat was to be able to save on meals and cook home. It turned out that the kitchen was also dirty therefore we didn't even cook once.
We are not a peaky bunch and are used to travelling in hostels. I think it's not so difficult to keep a place clean, all you need is water and soap and the effort was clearly not made here. Oh and yes, it does look better on the pictures.
So i would recommand this place if you're searching for a place to sleep only and don't care much about cleanliness.
Ben has a very cool apartment in East Village. This is a lively area with several good restaurants nearby. It also quite close to other interesting parts of NYC.
The apartment was just as expected and according to the description and pictures on airbnb. The apartment was clean, and had a cool worn style that reflected that it had been well used over many good years.
Ben was a fantastic host! We came in several hours late - almost midnight because of problems with the trains to NYC, and Ben was very patient and courteous and waited up for us several hours more than expected.
Bens sister in law wound up staying in his place, was a pleasure to host her and meet Ben. You will be happy to host.
Ben and his friends were awesome guests in my south Philly home. Welcome back anytime, thx Ben !!!
