I am an artist and performer from Brighton.
I love to travel and socialise. I look forward to meeting you.
A great apartment in a fantastic location. If you want to be in the heart of Soho then you won't be disappointed with Cecilia's apartment.
Cecilia meet us at the apartment and made us feel very welcome. The apartment provides everything you require for a short or long stay.
Would definitely use again.
Very happy with the apartment and location, 2nd time I have stayed there. Cecilia was very responsive and accommodative in regard to request for extension of stay.
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans le Sussex. Carméla et Céclia nous ont accueillis avec beaucoup de gentillesse. Leur maison est très calme et l'on y dort très bien. Les enfants ont adoré le jardin et les animaux.
We stayed a full week and loved Cecilia's apartment! Best neighborhood in London...within walking distance to Trafalgar Square/National Gallery, Oxford Street and Chinatown, 2 minutes from Piccadilly Circus, and it is the center of nightlife in the city! Cecilia was very responsive to emails and gave great tips about restaurants in the area. She even provided a loaf of bread and a bottle of wine! If I were lucky enough to visit London again, I would definitely request another stay.
There were a few things to be aware of though:
As it is a great neighborhood for nightlife, it can get pretty loud at night. We noticed this usually during the workweek, but not so much during the weekend. We could hear distant conversations and music outside our window at night. It was tolerable, but I would recommend a set of earplugs. Also, her apartment is on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator. This coupled with a bathtub that is somewhat perilous to climb out of may need to be considered for someone less mobile. Oh, I did not like the separate cold/hot water faucets in the bathroom sink...must be a British thing?
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Super happy with the apartment and location. Cecilia was there to meet me at check in and everything was easy from there. Apartment felt like home away from home and I would be happy to stay there again.
Best location, couldn't ask for a better spot
We stayed at Celia's place for four nights in between Xmas and New Years (2013.) The apartment was clean and cozy. The location cannot be beat. SoHo is fantastic (restaurants, pubs and theaters only a stones throw from the doorstep), with easy access to anywhere in London. Celia was terrific, friendly, responsive, and responsible. We would plan any future stay in London with Celia, so we could stay here again. The only downside was- the flat is on the third floor so we had to carry our heavy bags up, but Celia even helped with that.
This place is smack in the middle of an area with great nightlife, an easy walk from several underground stations, all the West End theaters, Leicester Square, and (a bit more of a walk but still close by) Covent Garden. It's surrounded by pubs and restaurants. The place itself is cozy and has a lot of personality. Cecilia was very accommodating, meeting us well before the scheduled checkin time when we arrived on an early-morning flight and letting us stash our bags in the living area until the afternoon.
Given that it's in a hot area of town and is two floors up from ground level, there's a ton of street noise, especially in the living area, and it goes on very late into the night. The bedroom faces away from the street and is much quieter but you'll still hear people and music. If you're a moderate to heavy sleeper it likely won't bother you, but be prepared if you're a very light sleeper.
The place itself is comfortable, though a few minor maintenance issues bothered us a bit, e.g., the bathroom door slams shut unless it's propped open, and there's a missing window pane in the bedroom which causes a metal shade to make banging sounds in the wind. Hopefully those will be repaired by the time you read this. But the kitchen is well-equipped and we enjoyed being able to make breakfast for ourselves every day, the living area is pleasant to lounge in, and the bed is comfortable and plenty spacious enough for two people.
If you're visiting London for the West End nightlife and shows, this place is well worth considering.
A fantastic location with a great and accommodating host. Flat is a real home, not a corporate apartment. It was clean and well stocked. A nice option for an extended work and personal stay. Would stay there again. Since we are from A busy city, we don't mind being in the center of the action. Everything is on your doorstep from delicious casual and nicer restaurants to Chinatown an outdoor market and dry cleaner...
Great guest very easy to deal with and left the space spotless
I have known Cecilia for several years and that she has always been very friendly and helpful. When she is not busy with work, she enjoys travelling and making new friends.
She has been a host to Airbnb since last year and has built an impressive reference data base.
