Beautiful views of the lake and very nice staff. Overall a very pleasant stay.
We had a very positive experience here. We arrived very late at night and someone was waiting for us to let us in and get us some hot tea. The views are amazing from all the windows. The kitchen has a nice terrace overlooking the lake as well. A very nice place to enjoy your breakfast. Breakfast was delicious. Granola, fruits and yogurt; toast with real butter and preserves, eggs cooked to order. If we happen to travel to Puno again, I'll definitely stay here again.
Nice apartment, close to the airport. The host was friendly.
The reservation was canceled 3 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Staying with Mr Julián and his wife Giovana was such a pleasure. They run this family owned and operated "bnb" setup in the theme of a yacht . mr Julian arranged to come get us from the bus station and we felt right at home soon as we arrived. Located right on Lago titicaca. We were in a suite with a beautiful lake view, floor to ceiling glass windows. The rooms were bright and cheery, very cozy with lots of blankets and a heater. We immediately felt a relaxed and cozy vibe and decided to stay in for the night before visiting the floating islands the next day. Highly recommended
We really enjoyed our stay in puno. The hotel was lovely and the staff was very accommodating. Our first room was pretty small but they switched us to a larger room in the second night which was much appreciated. The food was great, but they were overwhelmed on the second night as it took two hours and we were starving. Reasonably priced though as there isn't anything nearby. The alpaca meal and trout was delicious.
My host and I were in contact several times before arriving on the 22nd. He was made aware from the very first communication that we were travelling with out 2 kids ages 5 and 20 months and that we would be arriving very late- around midnight. He assured me that this would not be an issue and that the gate person would have everything set for our arrival. This was not at all the case. We arrived late, around 2:30 am- as our flight was delayed over 4 hours. My taxi cab driver spent over 30 minutes arguing with the person at the gate about my name, and the condo we had rented as I desperately tried to explain the situation. The 2 phone numbers he provided which all of us called several times were not answered. Finally, one of the gate people took pity on us and took us to the next gate- concierge who had the key and knew something of a rental- he at first did not want to let us in either. Renzo had also agreed to leave my a carton of milk and a box of cereal which I had told him I would leave him the money for on the counter, as we were arriving so late my kids would need to have at least some milk in the morning and a bit fo ceral before we set out at 9 am! He agreed, in not one but 2 separate emails and then we arrived and there was NOTHING! In addition, the place was dirty, the water tap in the sink keeps turning so you have to fiddle with it for it to stay shut. The sheets smelled damp and there was not even a soap in the bathroom! A complete waste of money and time. This person should be banned from airbnb as they truly have no sense of hosting or providing for guests. I feel robbed. When I called him to discuss this matter he replied "what is done is done, leave me alone" and hung up the phone. I called him several times back and he did not reply. A complete scam artist. Not at all the first impression I wanted to have of Costa Rica.
The experience was really great, the conditions of the hotel are excellent and the service was very warm and helpfull, very recommended.
