Nik and his mom were lovely hosts! The panaromic view from the terrace has been lovely each evening and we had a great time exploring the nearby beaches. The area is highly recommended for a visit!
The hospitality of these people was great! The house is very nice and everything needed is available.
The place is lovely, the beach is perfect and the water of the sea in Irak'itsa is crystal clear.
The house is not on the beach but just 3 minutes from there. The second floor living room's terrace is beautiful and panoramic. Maybe it needs slight improvement on the air conditioning of the top floor.
Everything else was perfect. Nik's mother is taking care and helping the guests like nobody else could!
The village is full of tourists during the main season, obviously. If one needs more privacy, there are plenty of places to visit nearby: Kavala, and Thassos by ferry from there or from Keramoti were our favoured.
I recommend Nik as a host to everyone who wants to visit these places.
Our story with Nik started during a late Friday afternoon - it is August, we are in Nea Peramos and it is the peak season.
Luckily, the airbnb on my iPhone helps me locate Nik's house, which is nearby in Nea Iraklitsa. Without any high hopes, I've left a message... 5 min later I got a reply from Nik! 15 min later - the house was ready for us.
This alone tells a lot about the level os service and reliability of Nik.
Besides the extraordinary service provided by Nik (and his mom!), we found his house to (email hidden) to stay in Nea Iraklitsa region:
(+) Location is everything: We like calm, peaceful neighborhood and Nik's house was offering exactly this. The house is not near Nea Iraklitsa main street/center - but 2 block away from the main street - in a nice, green area. There is no noise and you can enjoy restful sleep. At the same time, the house is just 5 min walk from the beach. If you have a car - there are many other nice beaches around.
(+) House layout: The layout is perfect for a family with kids or 2 couples. There are 2 bedrooms with full-sized, comfortable beds. The house is spacious - bedrooms are large, the living area is very comfortable, there are 2 very big terraces. You can park the car right in front of the house, which is not to be underestimated.
(+) Cleanness: The house and the surrounding areas are very clean.
(+) Hospitality: Nik and his mother are great hosts.
I can't recommend the service and the house of Nik highly enough. Looking to be their guests again!
This was an absolutely unexpected gem; the photos looked nice, of course, but the house and setting were even more beautiful than we could have imagined! Nik's mother, Martha, was welcoming and gave us a tour of the town. We only were able to stay one night, but would have easily stayed longer!
Mr Davies and his friends really amazed me. They were unexpectably (for young fellows) clean and attentive with the property, as well as sympatic, very polite and easy to communicate. Highly reccomended guests.
There's a lot of great things to say about Ira Klitsa and Nik & Martha's place. Martha (email hidden) and literally knows everybody in town, get her to point out the best seafood restaurant and the best loukoumades and you won't be disappointed. Everything in town is great value, not being over-run with tourists is one of the best parts of Ira Klitsa - you get a sense you are in a real greek seaside town. Lovely village atmosphere, walking distance to the beach, clear water, 2 min drive into town, lots of authentic greek food, inexpensive. Kavala isn't far away, and Nea Peramos in the other direction is great for dinner one night too. You must visit the historical site of Phillipi while in the area, it's a MUST SEE in Greece. The house is airy, spacious, comfortable, quiet and peaceful, and Martha (email hidden). Nik's & Ira Klitsa are both great places.
