We are both professional classical (opera) singers in our early 30s. We've been told that we defy the stereotype, but believe it or not, most opera singers are not 300 lbs and don't walk around with a cast iron helmet and golden braids on their heads. We both love to travel, both here and abroad. After Jonathan recently introduced Kiera to the joys of camping on the Channel Islands in the Pacific, Kiera shared with Jonathan two of her most favorite cities in Europe, Berlin and Vienna, last fall. After living in the "Minny Apple" (yes, that is indeed what some people call Minneapolis), we decided to return to the "Big" one this past fall. In addition to attending the symphony and the opera, Kiera loves to attend the theater and modern dance performances, as well as the ballet. But one of her most favorite things is to sit on the stoop of her Brooklyn brownstone with a cocktail and chat with her neighbors. Jonathan loves to ride his bike throughout the city. He is a great lover of this city's amazing parks, especially Central Park in Manhattan and Prospect Park here in BK. They both love great food and enjoy discovering quaint restaurants throughout the city. But their most favorite thing of all is to be with their sweet, quiet, loving little dog, Louis Armstrong, who manages to make them smile even when life feels less than glorious.
