Kathryn and Kai were very helpful and friendly. The house was lovely too and and the perfect kitchen for our cooking. Not forgetting the fireplace that warms us up during the cold nights!
Kylie and her family were delightful people to meet and host.
Thank you very much for choosing to stay with us at the Nest.
We were very surprised! The house is amazing! Located in the forest, with nice decoration.
We had a great time at The Nest, which is a lovely place to be. Kathyn was there to wlcome us & to say godbye & couldn't have been more welcoming & helpful. Although Mount Pleasant was badly hit in the hurricane, it is a nice area to stay in & not far from Sumner & the Banks Peninsula. We'd happily stay there again, & for longer.
We were in contact with Kathryn and Kai at various times since it was unclear as to when we were arriving. We got to meet to Kathryn who was at the Nest to greet us and provided us with great deal of useful information. The Nest was bigger and better than depicted in the pictures and more than adequate for the four of us. The Nest was reasonably easy to find, although we had a GPS. The local area had great views and was very safe and friendly. Currently, the roads around Christchurch and Mt Pleasant are still under repair and require extra extra time to drive around. There is a supermarket close by and a great Pub "The Claddagh" that is worth visiting. We all had a great time in Christchurch and enjoyed returning home to the Nest. We would recommend the Nest to anyone thinking of visiting Christchurch.
My family and I had a wonderful stay at Kathryn and Kai's place! It's clean, very roomy and has a great vibe set in a secluded wooded hillside near the water.
They are great hosts-very friendly with good attention to detail. The nest has everything you'll need for a relaxing peaceful holiday!
Kathryn and Kai were very welcoming and helpful. The accommodation has excellent space which worked very well for us. It was clean and very well supplied, including with basic foodstuff - fruit and other breakfast items which did make the first morning easy.
This area of Christchurch suffered badly in the earthquakes, and there is some road disruption and minor issues in the building such as the garage door not closing - nothing that gave us any problems other than finding our way on occasion.
We had a great stay at Mount Plesant. Kathryn and Kai were great hosts and were available for any questions we had. The space itself is as advertised and is a short drive to the supermarkets and CBD. We would recommend staying here if in the area.
Nice secluded home on Mt Pleasant, close to the beach at Sumner.
The Nest is a truly fully furnished house that is designed and equipped for comfortable and easy living. We loved the living room and had a fire every night. The kitchen is excellent and Kathryn and Kai supplied it with bread, milk, butter, cookies, and fresh fruit when we moved in. There was an abundance of towels, tea towels, quality shampoo, conditioner, and soap, laundry and dishwasher detergent, firewood and kindling, and much more. We assume it is called the Nest because it is nested nicely in a grove of native flora on Mt. Pleasant. We were very pleased and recommend it highly. We hope to return to it in our next visit to Christchurch.
Our experience at the Nest was fantastic and everything we could have hoped it to be. The place, service and location were all fantastic. We will be back.
