I'm originally from Chicago and now live in a lovely Hudson river town called Beacon, New York. I'm a fine artist, book designer and avid traveler.

Sue's apartment is just as she describes it--an arty and spacious studio in a vibrant town. It was spick and span when we arrived, and full of thoughtful, lovely art pieces. And Sue herself was just a delight--flexible with our changing plans, warm and genuine and sparky and full of great advice when we arrived. What's more, she left us cookies, and free passes to the DIA!
Just one caveat: the apartment is across the street from a bar, and on the two weekend nights of our visit, the live music (decent classic rock covers, for the record) was overwhelming until around 2. If you come on a night without music, or if you're planning on being out yourself, no big deal. Otherwise, you'll want to bring really good earplugs.
We had a wonderful stay in Susan's cozy Beacon apartment. It looks exactly like the pictures! And is in an optimal location for exploring the charming town.
Susan was a fabulous host and provided us with an extensive list of her favorite hang outs in Beacon (all of which were right on the money). She even left us two cookies from her favorite cafe. Delicious!
When the weather suddenly turned chilly, Susan made sure to let us know that we should turn on the heat. We were very comfortable as a result. Overall, it was just what we needed and we'd go back in a heartbeat!
Susan's apartment has amazing qi. She greeted us right on time and was very warm and friendly when giving us the tour of the apartment and lovely deck, which we had to ourselves the entire weekend! Her apartment looks exactly like the photos, and is very convenient for those like us who don't have a car. It is right on Main Street, and is walking distance to everywhere on the list of places Susan left us to check out. We are very pleased with how easy this experience was and would definitely stay here again!
Susan is a great guests and is welcome back anytime!
Thanks for staying with us .
Susan was great, as a guest/host Susan really understands the spirit of AirBnb. I had another booking the week that Susan stayed at my place after a guest who did not leave my apt in the condition that it was in when that guest arrived. Susan was very understanding, she communicated extremely well with me and she left my apt in better condition than what she walked into.
I have rented out to multiple guest a few times before, when I have left for the week on business and never had a problem communicated to me with the condition of the apt. I'm glad that Susan is the type of person who is able to be proactive with her communication and knows what it is like to be a host on AirBnB.
I'm sorry about what happened but I'm glad to see we could make it right and that you had a pleasant visit to Philadelphia. You're welcome back any time and I would recommend her to EVERYONE!
Susan and Joan were exceptional guests - polite, courteous, respectful of my privacy, yet engaging and entertaining. Lovely, lovely people. I can recommend them highly to any host and would happily have them back at any time.
Susan and her partner were awesome guests! They were great amongst the busy-ness that my house presented this weekend! They were clean, quiet and minful of the house rules. I would not hesitate hosting them again!
Susan, a spectacular guest that visited me this summer on the Vineyard, visited in Venice as well with her equally wonderful friend, Tracy. Not only was it a breath of air from NYC, my original homeport, but both were lovely, appreciative, low-key, neat guests. I would welcome them any time again and recommend you do the same!
Susan has been a great guest... She left the place perfectly clean and tidy. We defenetly recommand her.
