We had an absolutely wonderful week staying here (couple with a 10 week old baby).
Pierre was on holiday when we booked and arrived. Despite being on holiday, Pierre was very responsive on email and kindly arranged for us to be meet by friends of his on arrival. It worked perfectly. Once Pierre returned from his holiday he met us to ensure that we had everything we needed. Very kind.
The house is beautifully designed and furnished. Even better than the photos suggest. It has a well equipped kitchen and BBQ in a sunny courtyard on the side of the house with table and chairs for outdoor dining. The bedroom is upstairs - the bed is huge and very comfortable. We slept wonderfully. Directly out the back of the bedroom is a second private, sunny courtyard/terrace, which is a great place to relax in the sun all day. Plus it has a jacuzzi! The house was very clean and well kept. Pierre provided towels and linen.
The house shares a gated parking space with the neighbouring villa. The area is in the hills with some nice views. It is very quiet and peaceful. Small winding roads lead to the property. A car is a must. It's about a 7 min drive from the village of Opio, which has a supermarket, boulangerie, butcher, grocer, etc. It is about 10 mins to Grasse, and a few other cute villages in the area worth exploring. The coastal towns of Antibes, Cannes and Nice are within an easy 30-45 min drive.
We loved our stay, and would highly recommend Pierre's house and we would stay here again. Many thanks for sharing your wonderful place.
This place was beautiful, with a gorgeous view. The bathroom and kitchen were very nice and fully equipped, and the deck with nice chairs and a hot tub were sublime. Pierre and Natalie were great and they were there for any needs. It was great to have a washing machine and dryer. Wi-fi was seamless once we had the code. We also had a nice, big, parking spot.
We did have issues with the back/upstairs door not locking, but the gate into our place locked so we weren't too worried about it. Also, be prepared for VERY narrow and winding roads to arrive at the home. It was enough of a chore to get to the place that if we had to stop back in, we just stayed around instead of heading back out in the evening. But it was pleasant just to spend time in the home and the hot tub! Also, the address actually serves several homes and our phones weren't working when we arrived so it took a while, and asking some neighbors, to find out which house was theirs. Make sure you get specific directions to their place. And the additional electricity costs for us for 4 days (fairly conservative usage) were 40 euros, FYI.
Just back from a relaxing 2 weeks at this gorgeous cottage, which is beautiful and extremely clean. The hot tub outside is a lovely extra and we used it a lot. It was a wonderful way to cool off and relax with a glass of wine.
The cottage is well situated to be able to explore the beautiful beaches and magnificent walks in the lower Alps.
Pierre and Natalie were wonderful hosts. Thanks!
I would highly recommend this cottage.
We stayed for 5 nights in the Maset Provencal with our 3 children. The house is nestled into the wonderful peaceful hillside scenery of Provence and was very clean and well furnished. Thank you to the hosts, Nathalie and Pierre who welcomed us with their local wine - very nice ! The outside private terasse and BBQ allowed us to eat outside and take advantage of the warm evenings.
A very nice place to stay to discover the area and relax.
Very nice place!! Confortable, quite and very good equiped. The house is a little jewel, better then in photo. Pierre and Nathalie perferct guests.
This place was even better then imagined! A cosy farmhouse beautifully restored and decorated with all the comforts of home. The place was clean, comfortable and relaxing. It's a bit tricky to find so luckily the amazing hosts meet us in town the first time to lead us to there place. If staying here renting a car is a must so you can spend the days traveling to nearby areas. Pierre graciously lent us his GPS durning our stay. The kindness of Pierre and his wife was beyond words. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a beautiful country retreat. I would go back again in a heartbeat!.
What a great surprise! The pictures don't do it justice. A charming cottage next to the main house which was a 1700's Monastery, all gated in a residential area with beautiful views of the surrounding hills.
This stylish cottage has all the amenities of a modern apartment with the charm of a provencal cozy home. It was possible to cook, bake, or grill to our convenience. Spotless clean rooms, bath, and kitchen, and two terraces.
The location is conveniently centered between Cannes and the rest of the Cote D'Azur.
The hosts were very friendly and willing to help us in any possible way, always with a smile and a great attitude. They even provided us with home made marmalade, local orange wine, olive oil, and fresh basil.
Everything was perfect and we not only recommend this place to other families and couples, but we are planning a second trip to the same location.
Thank you Pierre and Nathalie for a great experience!
very good and friendly guests....would love to host them back :)
