Easy-going, sociable and low-maintenance.... generally better in the evening than the morning.

Fergal put so much effort into making our stay comfortable and enjoyable and he was really helpful with advice about where to go in Dublin. The house is beautiful, really cosy and comfortable and is in a great location. It only costs 2 euros for the bus into town which takes 5 minutes. You could probably walk in 15 min and it is one road into the center of Dublin. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. We much preferred our stay here to the last time we came and stayed in a hotel. Thanks for making our trip so great! :)
Our staying in Ferg's lovely house was really nice and comfy. We enjoyed it very much and we also appreciate a perfect care from the host. Ferg and Suze are very nice couple, in deed. Surroundings and location are fine as well. Few minutes from the city center by walk or even faster by bus which is available pretty often. I definitely recommand!
Great couple, very chilled and very welcoming and friendly. Mog the cat is the cutest, friendliest little thing too! Turn right onto Richmond road and left onto Drumcondra and you are only a 20 minute walk from town, where you will hit Parnell square and Hugh Lane gallery first, then top of O'Connell st. where the Gate theatre is. Otherwise it is a 5 minute bus journey with loads of buses going into town.
Lovely red brick cottage-type property and comfortable cozy room. Bathroom a bit chilly but it is winter after all!! Also there is wifi that actually works and connects well, hurray!
Thanks for the review Amy! Afraid it is true the bathroom is chilly at the moment. No radiator in there to keep it snug. However fear not - we've put in a convection heater which makes it toasty, but needs to be left on a few minutes in advance...
It was great to stay at Fergal's! Everything went really smoothly, he already gave a lot of support before we arrived. We had a very warm welcome and received all the information we needed for our stay. The weekend was fantastic, the only sad thing was that we did not have time enough to get to know our hosts better :-) We became good friends with the cat, though :-))
Ferg and Suz were wonderful! Ferg advised me the most beautiful places to see in Dublin and given all the information needed for transport. The house is cozy and they are very friendly, helpful and open-minded. Thanks for everything, hope to see you in Italy:-)
Great hosts, fun Irish home with friendly cat (Mog or Mag, I can't remember!) Great location. Thanks you guys!
Our first experience in Dublin was great ! Ferg and Suz are friendly, welcoming and helpful if you need some advice about the good places to visit in Dublin. Delicious traditional Irish breakfast by Suz ! Thank you so much ! Feel free to pay us a visit in France !
Staying witth Fergal and Suzanne was simply great. A typical Irish couple, typical Irish house - typically friendly and welcoming. We felt very comfortable. Plus: Within walking distance there's Fagan's, Drumcondras famous pub.
This is THE place to stay if you're in Dublin. Ferg and Suz were great, very welcoming and knowledgable about the area (you should see the list of great restaurants they gave me). They're very interesting people, so it was great to get to talk to them. During my visit, they had to leave for a few days, leaving me to take care of their wonderful cat (Mog). Its a great place, and I always felt comfortable there. Plus, Mog is the perfect host and was always hanging out with me. Oh, and their wifi works great.
Location wise, it was about a 40-minute walk to the main tourist areas of Dublin, but its a very easy walk and on the way you pass a lot of really cool pubs and shops. By bus, its only about 10 minutes to the tourist areas.
In terms of cleanliness, the house is very clean. As someone who is afraid of spiders I was worried about staying in an old building, but there were maybe one or two in the entire house during my visit (and Suz bravely dealt with them).
Overall a great experience!
We had a great time at Suz and Fergals place in Dublin! The house is very nice and was a great location / starting point for our discovery tour throughout Dublin. Many bus lines go to the center to their home, therefore it took about ten minutes in the city and the bus number 16 even got us to the south of the city. Suz and Fergal have been great hosts and gave us wonderful ideas for locations in Dublin and even recommended our wonderful hiking trip to Howth, which we never thought about when planning our trip. The neighbourhood and house we lived in was very sweet and safe. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We will definitly come back for another great stay at their home!
It was such a pleasure to meet Fergal and family, they were such perfect Airbnb guests. They were lovely to talk to, very relaxed and friendly, I would highly recommend Fergal and family to future hosts. I hope to see them again soon.
Fergal and his friends were ideal guests -very friendly and easy going. They were very quiet and left the apartment spotless ( the cleanest we have ever seen it after a guest ! ) I would welcome back Fergal and his any time and definitely recommend them as guests to other host.
During those days coincided that the 2 rooms were occupied but I accompained you to my house, gave you a map of the city and answered all your calls quickly.
Fergal and Suzanne are a wonderful couple and I have known them as close friends for years. They have a lovely home close to the city centre and know Dublin and all its hidden gems well. Suzanne is a native Dubliner with a passion and enthusiasm for her city . Fergal hails from the west of Ireland, and is a mine of information for anyone planning to explore the Irish countryside.
