Hi there, it's Poema here. I'm Educated, communicative and solar. I love photography, travelling around the world, meet people, writing and actually I'm a journalist and I write for different magazine :)
Poema was a great guest, very flexible and nice!
She left us the keys, the appartment was nice and clean and located in a very nice area! Poema gave us some very good insider tipps of places we could go.
I would recommend it to anyone visiting Rome!
The apartment was comfortable and cute, with a nice outdoor patio too. Being able to do laundry was also a godsend considering how sweaty Roman summers can be. It's situated near a tram #8 bus stop, which takes you directly into the center of Rome, near Piazza Venezia. The only downside was the wifi internet that was listed as an amenity is actually a neighbor's wifi, and from our room, our mobile phones, iPad, and laptop couldn't connect to the routers consistently.
Poema was a great host even when she wasn't around, leaving handwritten itineraries and emailing us daily with potential venues to check out for nightlife. She was incredibly understanding even when we locked ourselves out one night (sorry again!). Her roommate Michele was also helpful whenever we had questions and also entertained us with stories of Italy and travelling.
Poema was an excellent host. Before the reservation, she gave us all details about Rome, her apartment, the location and everything we needed. When arriving in Rome, she picked us up at the tram station. She had made a little nice guide for us with the best things to see and do in Rome with detailed directions.
The room we rented was a big, bright and clean. Poema didn't stay at the apartment herself, but was always only 5 minutes away from us. Her roommates were very kind and friendly people, and helped us when needed.
The neighborhood, Montiverde, is very quiet and nice. Free of tourists. You can find supermarkets, bakeries and cafes here, but it's not the place to spend all day. It's only 10 minutes from the hip Trastevere and 20-30 minutes to central Rome.
We will definitely recommend others to stay at Poema's place, and we would love to come back ourselves sometime again.
