Great place, looks nice and clean. Great view (swimming pool, greenery and a bit ocean) and well located on the island!!
At the main reception they gave complementary coffee and bananas every morning around 8.
The grounds, pool, lobby, landscaping, beach access, & weekday coffee, juice, & fruit served at outdoor lobby were beautiful! This is a very lovely place to stay with parking, walks to Coconut Marketplace, peace & quiet, & a small Farmer's Market at CoconutMarket on Tues/Thurs. Great central location close to airport & Paka'a Town with easy access to highways & byways.
The room has a lovely lanai with great ocean/garden view where we spent much of our apartment time. It's a basic 2 bed hotel-type room w/ small frig & sink, microwave, & dishware. Size was fine for the 2 of us for a week. Some maintenance is needed & the WIFI service was unreliable.
A nice basic spot on beautiful Kauai!
This place is perfectly situated to explore the entire island of Kauai with just a short drive north or south. The unit is clean and has pretty much everything you could need - plates, cups, silverware, microwave, mini fridge, towels, beach towels. It is a short walk to the beach, which has plenty of chairs to sit and take in the view. The pool and hot tub area also has a bar, so be sure to grab a Mai Tai or Pina Colada. A couple of nice surprises were the 3 gas grills available for use by the pool, and the free Kauai coffee from 8-9 every weekday morning. Parking was a little tight and you definitely need to grab the parking pass from the front desk. Helpful tip: #318 is in the Hawaii building on the left hand side of the property.
The place was very clean and well furnished. The view was beautiful. Grounds are immaculate. I will stay here the next time we come to Kauai.
Accommodations were adequate. Simplistic decor. Only two bath towels, had to make use of beach towels for our showers. Comfortable bed and sheets. Nice view of pool, bar and ocean in the backdrop from balcony. Shops out front but where half empty. Grocery and several restaurants nearby but not really feasible for walking to. Parking was somewhat difficult to find, not adequate for size of resort.
Wade's condo at the Astor Islander on the Beach was perfect. The resort and room had all the amenities we were looking for - beach access, pool, hot tub, bar, shops, kitchenette, and laundry on site. The room was clean with a very refreshing AC unit, and had a nice view of the inner resort and ocean. (Great for watching the sunrise at this eastern-facing location!) Staying in Kapaa/Wailua is also ideal because you're near the airport, and also acts as a perfect home base when you want to explore the north and southern sides of the island! Definitely will be back!
Nice place, great location. Room could use a dresser and/or a place to store suitcase. Only complaint was the pool was cold.
It was a perfect spot! Enjoyed the ocean view, easy walk to (and along the beach). Especially enjoyed a semi-rainy Friday night, sitting on the lanai, listening to great live music at the pool. The unit has all of the comforts that you need, and as others have said, the nearby Kilauea Fish House is "ono". If you are in the market for some special and reasonably priced jewelry, check out the Queen's Jewelry next door. We hope to come back soon - thanks, Wade!
Everything was exactly as advertised. Super convenient location right next to shops and restaurants. The pool's nice and the beach is great and not at all crowded (though a little rocky just at the water's edge so enter with caution...). We explored the nearby properties a bit and were glad to be staying here -- the beach was better and the resort felt uncrowded and peaceful.
