About Soldiers of Suicide
A Soldier who chooses to end one's life is in a state of total despair when contemplating this final decision. In this person's mind, there exists no other option but to end the overwhelming pain that they feel deep down inside.
After the tragedy, we are often left wondering what we could have done to prevent this from happening. We would do anything to go back in time to change the situation.
All kinds of questions go through our mind to attempt to understand what was going on. This is difficult, and often very hard to process. We keep this person in our hearts, even though the person we loved so much is gone from our lives.
We want to remember with respect the Soldiers who have served the country of Canada. Soldiers who have taken their lives need to be recognized and remembered as fallen Soldiers. Their families need to know we remember their sacrifice in the name of our country's freedom.
This is the purpose of this website. It is a special place to honour and remember these Soldiers. It is a place to express our compassion, respect and gratitude to their families, friends and brothers-in-arms.
This tribute, dedicated to those who protect our country, may also help bring a balm of peace and comfort to all who have lost a loved one to suicide.
