I currently live in Japan. I'm an English teacher, currently looking for a job in different countries (right now in Japan) - the world is too big and life is too short to spend in one place!
I was an Airbnb host for some time when I lived in Sydney, and sharing the work with my brother. It was a fun experience and we would keep doing it had the situation allowed. Of course I also had stayed as Airbnb guest, mainly in Asia.
The 5 things I can't travel without... (well, aside from the basic necessities such as passport, underwear and toiletries):
- My camera and films
- My Kindle (I'm a big fan of Haruki Murakami)
- That's it, really. I'm a minimalist. It's no big deal if I forget my lipbalm or earphone - those can be found anywhere in the world. I even switch my phone off as soon as I settled into my accommodation (who wants to deal with the Internet, e-mail and social media when you're supposed to have fun travelling?)
