This place is great! Very cozy, yet there is quite a bit of space. The kitchen is huge! The location is very good for catching trains, in a quiet neighborhood. The restaurant selection in the immediate area isn't great, but there are some options. There is a whole foods right down the street. For the price, in SF, this place is a steal. You'll pay twice the price for less than half the space at any of the hotels.
This is a beautiful flat and was a very comfortable place to stay for over a week. T`he Wi-Fi was fast and reliable and it was very quiet, especially considering it was in the middle of bustling Noe valley.
Paul was a responsive host who was quick to respond over email. Best of all, was the welcome bin waiting for me when I arrived. It was so thoughtful and contained everything I might have needed from extra toilet paper to a vanity kit of travel size toiletries.
Overall, it's clear that Paul cares about the comfort of his guests.
My wife and I were coming to SF for work for three weeks and wanted to find a place close to public transportation (we needed to commute down to the Palo Alto area often). Paul was very responsive over email and his place was perfect for a) cooking (the kitchen is awesome!), b) working from home, and c) living in the peaceful Noe Valley neighborhood. We had a great time and we highly recommend this place to others. Thanks Paul for letting us stay here! P.S: your house manual was very helpful.
Exceptional location. All the little details well thought through to make sure the stay is comfortable.

Our stage at 54 Sonoma was gorgeous. Paul is an excelent host. Every thing was planned and well thought. And he cares even for small details. The Apt is beautifil with plenty of light and with every thing you may need. And what to say about the neighborhood. We fell in love with Telegraph Hill. You can walk to almost everything interesting. If too far, Paul has a pair pf bikes in the garage for you to use. We are looking forward to returning to San Francisco. And no doubt, 54 Sonoma ( or 52) will be our first choice.
Paul's flat is indeed productive and peaceful! Bright, clean, sunny and with great brand new furniture and kitchen equipment it was our nest in the lovely Noe Valley area for a month. Highly recommend it for a short or long stay. And Paul was very helpful and accommodating.
Response from Paul:
Glad you liked it and had a great time.
My family and I stayed at Paul's lovely Noe valley apartment for our spring break vacation. The location is very convenient to Bart and Muni transportation.
We felt at home here and enjoyed the large kitchen/dining space. We made most of our evening meals here and found most kitchen utensils and supplies we needed were available. A high chair and travel cot were provided for our infant son.
The living room and bedroom were separated enough to serve as two bedrooms which was handy for the four of us. The shower was nice, but the bathroom was a little small. Lots of fluffy towels on hand, which was a bonus! Some noise from the upstairs neighbours when walking on the hardwood, but otherwise, very quiet location!
I would recommend this unit to a family, couple, or travelling friends. it is close to great shopping on Valencia, Tartine Bakery (a favorite of mine), Dolores Park (a favourite of my daughters), and the J church muni train.
Response from Paul:
Thanks for the positive feedback. I love Tartine too :)
Paul's place was very new, modern and spotless. It's in a little alley way in Noe that's close to the Valencia corridor, Noe, the Bar and the J-Church MUNI line. Great communication and was really flexible for our departure (our flights were delayed because of a blizzard). The place is a perfect little hideaway to work and relax from the city.
Paul was a great guest! Friendly, considerate and interesting to talk to. Definitively recommend hosting him!
