I enjoin sating in your house, nice hospitality.
Excellent hosts, extremely helpful, right priorities, no-nonsense accomm. at fair price
Two of us stayed overnight with Leigh, although the guest room is most appropriate for a single, as she notes in the description. This is a very economical layover on the way up the Wales coast, at the southern entrance to Snowdonia National Park. Traveling A487, you could easily breeze by Ceinws, a tiny village charmingly situated in a deep valley, and Corris just north with a steam train and craft center, but we enjoyed exploring them on foot.
Leigh is a very friendly and accommodating host who appreciates her guests. If she had a slightly larger room to accommodate two people comfortably, she'd be booked up all the time, but I recommend it for solo travelers or, like us, couples who just want an inexpensive night's sleep near the park.
Overall a positive experience in a small village outside of Machynlleth. The room was warm, cosy and quiet. It was only 4 miles from Machynlleth and there was plenty to do in the surrounding area. Both Leigh's were friendly and welcoming.
The two Leighs, one female and one male, are very open and friendly. They have seen many parts of the world by travelling around. We had an interesting communication. I stayed only one night with them.
This was my first airbnb stay and it worked out very well - I much preferred staying in a home than in a characterless B&B.. The two Leighs were very welcoming and I felt very much at home. They were happy with my plan to leave early each morning and return mid-evening, and they arranged for me to help myself to a quick breakfast (including some scrumptious home-made bread). Access to the bathroom was no problem and the bedroom was fine.
The house was in a very quiet rural area with easy parking and 4.5 miles from Machynlleth - a small town with a railway station and lots of shops and places of interest. An ideal place to chill out in a beautiful area!
My stay in Ceinws with Leigh and Leigh and the cats was delightful. I felt at home as soon as Leigh met me at the train in Machynlleth. I didn't have a car so this allowed me to pick up groceries for me to cook and eat for the time I was at their home. Freedom to eat, sleep, use WiFi, watch TV or read. Lovely garden out back and I took many pictures. Thanks for the day trip and picnic. It's not something I will forget soon!
Leigh never showed up, never called, never messaged me. My caretaker waited up for her until 1 AM. Not very happy about this and in my opinion she could have had much better communication.
It´s all good
