Thank you Jay for a great stay. My kids loved that they could just step out of the villa and jump right into the pool. The entire complex is just so beautiful and we'll kept. The early morning walks along the river Sal were surreal and beach being just a few minutes away is a great combination.
Villa Shanti is surely going to see a lot more of me and my family.
Thank you Jay for a memorable stay. Cheers.
This was an amazing experience. The host Jay was always very helpful & guided us around the place through emails which helped a lot. The villa is definitely a home away from home. Quite near to the sea, the river & the restaurants. Taxis easily available from just outside the main gate. Also Franky the manager & Alexina the cleaner were very good and helpful. Having the villa cleaned every day was a bonus. Would definitely recommend it and would surely go back. Thanks for everything
The villa was beautiful and the pool was very convenient. Cavelossim beach is awesome and very uncrowded. Jay was a considerate host checking on us multiple times.
A very pleasant stay, service, location, villa, that all are just excellent. Thank you.
We had e verry good stay in villa shanty. It was cosy and calm and the staff around de house helpful and friendly. To get to the house was uncomplicated. Thanks a lot!
We had a very relaxing time at Villa Shanti in the Luisa by the Sea compound. The compound feels like an oasis of old world calm in the bustle of Cavellosim. The villas were built about 24 years ago but have a lovely solid older feel to them. The greenery all around, the flowers and birdsong, with a 15m pool are great. Cavellosim is a narrow strip of land between the river and the sea so offers two very contrasting environments at very close proximity. So we saw dolphins jumping with our binoculars even from the beach and river life on our beautiful boat trip. We enjoyed our stay very much.
This place in Goa is very charming and safe. It is in South Goa, was very hot/warm, quiet, and full of Russian people, rather older crowd...Also don`t underestimate the distance to old and north Goa...quite far...
Also its location is very convenient: walking distance from small shops, restaurants (saw a mouse running in one of them:-( ) and beach.
The place was very clean and comfortable.
The wifi signal was strong and stable.
We did not have any problem at check in and check out (even were allowed a late check in by 1 hour).
Now 2 cons that we encountered:
- never got to meet the owner (only the home/residence taker), a personal welcome would have been nice
- the electricity/power shut down at some point for couple hours...
Overall satisfied with our stay.
The stay was really nice and close to the beach.
I few points worth to note :
- the safe stopped working during our stay but Jay found a solution within the hour
- everything was just like what was advertised. Note that the villa is not in front of the river but a few minutes walk away
- we went there in middle of May, just before everything close and were a bit disappointed to find the pool was empty for Moonsoon when we arrived there.
- there was some construction work in one of the bungalow for the whole weekend, even during Sunday, and nap time.
This was a really enjoyable stay for a nice long weekend in south Goa.
As a regular visitor to Goa, I would rate our stay at Villa Shanti among the best. It offered us all the ingredients that we were seeking - beach 5 mins away, scenic riverside with access within the compound and a swimming pool bang outside our cottage. If you have children or in our case our father who is a senior citizen, it's always peaceful to stay in the comfort of a home - with connected rooms. One of the best parts about Luisa by the sea is its location - you can enjoy the quiet and solitude of South Goa and at the same time there is a nice market outside for grocery, local shopping, Tito's if you wish to go clubbing and some nice restaurants (fisher man's wharf is our fav!).
While we only interacted with the manager Franky briefly, he was v warm n helpful. Ranvijay who owns the place, I interacted only online but was quite happy with how he sent me all the answers before I could ask the questions :)
Overall, great option for those seeking a peaceful holiday in Goa with elements of a resort without burning a hole in the pocket.
After our roundtrip in North India, we were pleased to stay 5 nights in Villa Shanti. Its privacy, huge place with 2 adult bedroom with attached bathroom are very nice! WiFi availible in the Villa. Its quite area in Goa, also on the beach, not only sunbeds, but still some lonely, beautiful white sandy beaches. We rented some bicycles, driving on the beach for miles.
Jay is very helpful, even we didn't meet him personally, the housekeeper and /or other staff memebers take care of you. We needed to stay 1 nigh more, but villa Shanti was not availible anymore, Jay arranged another Villa from his antie, and we were so lucky that we could stay 1 night longer. The pre paid taxi from the airport works out, 45 minutes drive cost 1000 RP ( febr.2013)
