Geneen and Aaron are great. I was very lucky to stay here during my trip! They are warm and welcoming people and made this a home away from home. Their dog lady is super sweet and thankful got on famously with my dog lexi. This is definitely a very dog friendly home! The room was exactly as described and the area has a lot of restaurants and shopping as well as easy access to public transport or tons of parking if you have your own car.
It was a great experience! Geneen ,Aaron and lady is really nice to me~\()/~ And I love the room because it is so warm and beautiful! The only pity is that i did not have much time to talk with Geneen, but I will go to Washington again and want to live the room again~haha
Geneen and Aaron were both very kind and accommodating. I wasn't home much since grad school took up most of my time, but I still managed to get to know them as truly generous people.
I have so enjoyed my time with Geneen and Aaron. Their hospitality has been incredible, and they have gone above and beyond to make me feel like family. This a great room in a great location with great people. I moved to DC from MS almost a year ago. I had never dealt with public transportation or substantial snow. Geneen and Aaron helped me through it all. I have enjoyed grilling on their back deck, eating brunch in their beautiful backyard, and being greeted daily by Lady (their English Creme Retriever). They are always available should a problem arise (even though none really have), and very responsive. The space is big, clean, and cozy. The bathtub really is as wonderful as it seems, and the garden view is so peaceful. The house is walking distance to everything; yet, the neighborhood is peaceful. You'd be crazy to pass this place up.
I've stayed with Geneen and Aaron for a month now and they really made me feel at home! The room was perfect for my purposes: a quiet place to write but with public transport to go to DC whenever I needed to. Geneen and Aaron are very accommodating and there is a lot of positive energy in the house :-) And still you can have all the privacy if you want. Lady, the dog, is supersweet. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful to walk through. It takes 2-5 min to several buses around and 15 min to the Metro. 10-15 minutes walking will also take you to a bunch of restaurants/ coffee places/organic market and a hot yoga center. A very, very pleasant stay, thank you! :-)
Geneen and Aaron have a really high review rating. It is entirely accurate.
I can't imagine nicer people to stay with. They were delightful and completely helpful whenever I asked any questions. Special thanks to Megan for helping me out when I first arrived, and a belly scratch for Lady!
Thanks to all of you!!! Wayne
Geneen and Aaron were wonderful hosts! They offered anything I could have needed and were great conversation. Was awesome having their dog Lady around as well, she was a pleasure to hang out with :)
Geneen and her husband made us feel very welcome - as did their lovely dog Lady :) they even shared dinner with us one night! The room was lovely, spacious and cool with a big comfortable bed. The location is brilliant - we decided to drive in to the centre of town and it only took us about 20 minutes (outside of rush hour). Would definitely recommend this place to a friend.
I had a long-term stay with Geneen and Aaron and I couldn't have asked for anything more! During my stay I was able to share a couple of great meals and felt right at home. Of course I always looked forward to being greeted by Lady and Juno, the adorable resident pups. The house is a very convenient 10-15 minute walk to PG Plaza/metro and lots of great restaurants in downtown Hyattsville. I would definitely recommend staying at 4104 Oglethorpe Street!
My husband and I stayed with Geneen and Aaron for a few days as one of many stops on our move across the country. We had a lot of plans for DC so we didn't spend too much time inside but upon arrival they were very welcoming and the downstairs is beautiful. They put a lot of work into their home and it's great.
Geneen & her husband were the perfect guest. Although their stay was brief they were very nice.
Geneen, her husband and their dog lady were great guests! We would love to see them again, soon.
Thank you foe choosing Deerhaven for your Wine country get away
Would welcome you back
are wonderful people. unfortunately the houses in the historical center of Cusco are made for people of Cusco and so the doors are not very large normal.
the new receptionist made a big herror by charging for the night
version of our receptionist is:
- Arriving guests wanted to change to a double bedroom, unfortunately they did not fall into a double bed.
- The next day decided to find a hotel with private bathrooms and larger beds guess for the size of them
- The man who speaks Spanish would pay cash and said it would cancel the reservation at Airbnb
-the herror of the new clerk was accepting the money.
unfortunately it was a no bad intention herror
clear that we will return the money to Airbnb
Geneen is an extremely nice, respectful and considerate individual. She was very self sufficient as a guest, she even brought her own sheets! She stayed longer with me than originally planned, and she knew I had another guest checking in that day, so she left everything neat and tidy and clean. I very much appreciated it! She is welcome in my home any time.
Geneen, was great to have at my home she was so sweet and flexible. Mostly enjoyed talking over Cuban coffee and homemade Banana Bread. She even went out and bought me a thank you gift. She was such a pleasure to have in my home and hope she comes back again.
Geneen was a great guest!
Unbelievably cool! Geneen is a total hipster and I am not sure she knows it. She has a fantastic personality, smart, and just an all around good person. When she arrived I knew we would instantly be friends and the entire week she was here was a joy and a treat. I would have her back anytime and you would be lucky to host her.
When Aaron came out for one night to visit we had a blast with him as well. All of the positive reviews you read are true and then some! Hugs to you an Aaron and the dogs G!
Geneen and Aaron will make you very grateful you signed up to host on Airbnb.
Mike and I enjoyed talking with this smart, witty, socially aware couple. They brushed off cat hair, grabbed kayak paddles, and dove into the adventure of staying in our home. It was a joy to spend time with them. What a fun and inspiring couple!
Meeting Geneen and Aaron reminded us that the best part about hosting is the chance to belong to a friendly neighborhood of fellow travelers.
You will be hoping that Geneen books more than one night at your place just so you can spend more time with her! And that goes for Aaron too.
Five stars are just not enough. If Airbnb gave out awards for best guests, this couple would be winners.
Can't say enough good things so just trust me on this one!
I've stayed more times than I can count at Geneen and Aaron's place in Hyattsville. The rooms are great, they are bigger than they look in the pictures. The hosts are both friendly and take an interest in what you are doing in the area. The house is close to Metro and its an easy ride into DC. All these factors keep me coming back.
