We are a couple who went to school together from age 6 until 18, but never dated. We didn't see each other for 40 years. Chris, originally an opera composer, moved to Cambridge to study at Harvard, then later to Hollywood, then Europe. Laura, a microbiologist, moved to Asheville to be an immunization consultant. We "re-met" at our 40th high school reunion, and married in 2009. Chris is now an author and Laura now monitors clinical research studies. On vacations, Laura is now showing Chris her favorite parts of the West Indies and Central America. And Chris is now showing Laura all the places where he lived during his 15 years in Europe. From 1977-81: Budapest, Paris, Strasbourg, Basel, and Cassis. From 1993-03: Zandvoort, The Netherlands. We are both avid hikers, and we walk the Camino de Santiago in October, 2012. Besides hiking, we enjoy good food, especially tapas, seeing new and old places, going to art galleries, and outdoor music festivals featuring "tribute bands" from the sixties. We love cruising and our dream is to take an around-the-world cruise when we retire.
