Bonjour, originaire de Paris, j'ai habité deux ans et demi en Asie. J'aime la musique, les voyages et les bonobos.
We stayed at Thomas's flat for 2 night. The flat is small, just as shown in the pictures, but its quite cozy. The bedroom was very nicely decorated. There was a smell coming from the kitchen, as it already said, but we kept the kitchen door closed, so it wasn't a big problem when you are sleeping, (and we didnt spend much time in the flat anyway). The flat is in an excellent location, just 2 minutes walk from the metro station and 5 minutes walk from sacre-coeur. Thomas was very friendly. Would recommend it for a short stay in Paris. Thanks Thomas!
Me and my girlfriend had a lovely stay at this cosy little flat. It was a small but very warm and cosy and made up for it in style and coolness with padded velvet walls, a small arsenal of lights and lamps in every room, a great CD collection and a couple of guitars dotted around the place.
The area was great, 3mins walk to Abbesses metro station which is only 4 stops from Gare Du Nord for the Eurostar, and only about 10 mins walk to Sacre Coeur. The neighbourhood was filled with cute little bistro restaurants, bars, patisseries, wine shops and the large Carrefour supermarket was only about 10 mins walk away.
Thomas was a great host too, he gave us lots of useful information through email and recommended a nice little authentic parisien bistro to go to on Valentines night for a lovely meal. Thomas was out of the country during our stay, but his mum and sister welcomed us to the flat and told us a little about the area and he left us with contact numbers in case we had any problems.
There was a funny smell coming from the kitchen sink which was barely noticeable (others had mentioned it too) but could be solved by just plugging the sink and filling it with a little water.
All in all, a great stay at a great flat in a great neighbourhood with a great host ... We were very happy :-)
Cheers >> Sanjay
Accueil et studio sympathiques, pour un passage rapide dans un joli quartier de paris. Cafés, boutiques, restaurants et épicerie à proximité. Tout à fait raisonnable, recommandé.
Nice flat and very decent welcome for a quick transit through a very nice neighborhood in Paris. Cafes, shops, restaurants and a grocery store nearby. Very reasonable deal, recommended.
Ok bohemiene flat in good location. Fine for the price, not spotless clean, no towels and a bit smelly. Fast wifi and quiet. Very nice guest.
Thomas's apartment is in an amazing location-- literally steps from the Abbesses metro stop in Montmarte. Lots of great little shops, restaurants, and bakeries are all within walking distance, and I recommend you try a place called Le Cave Gourmande for dinner (it is just around the corner on Rue des Martyrs). The apartment was clean and tidy, but beware that no towels are provided (not even hand towels in the bathroom). Thomas was very flexible with us on check out, and I was certainly recommend his apartment to anyone looking to stay in the heart of a bustling neighborhood!
We stayed at Thomas' apartment for 1 night, he was very quick to reply and was very kind to come and hand over the keys eventhough he had other plans for that evening. His place has very good placement, and a cool music collection, The place is not very clean, and the bed isnt the best.
But Thomas is reliable and a very nice guy;)
Thomas is a very genial host, and easy to communicate with.
The apartment is not huge, but serves really well as a base for one of the most interesting districts in Paris. A perfect way to be in Montmartre without feeling (or behaving) like a tourist.
We had read previous reviews, so came armed with towels and extra pillows (and the slight drain smell can be negated by leaving a little water in the kitchen sink as a barrier) and had a comfortable, profitable stay. Thomas is a man with eclectic tastes, so his flat makes for a fascinating stay.
Thank you, Thomas - we'll be back!
We met Thomas when we made the check out, because he was on travel to welcome us, but instead his mother waited for us until very late hour (because of our flight) and was very friendly. The department was not very tidy, kind of artsy style so for us it was OK. Comfortable, with WIFI, a great CD collection, a little TV, a little kitchen and a little bathroom, perfectly located in the centre of La Butte Montmartre. It was a strange smell as other comments said, but nothing you can´t live with. Fine for the price. We enjoyed our stay. Don't forget to bring your own towel!
The flat is perfectly located. The metro station is only 3 minutes away. It's very easy to explore Paris from there. It's also great to spend time in Montmatre. Great bars and restaurants are there and it's also very close to Sacre Coeur which is amazing. The flat was nice and cosy and everything was clean. It was very easy to communicate with Thomas. We had a great time in Thomas' flat and would defenitely book it again if we come back to Paris!
We enjoyed our stay in Thomas's place. The flat is well located right next (like 2 min) to the metro Abbesses and close to the Sacré-Cœur. If you like the area, it's a nice location. Thomas is friendly and kind as well. The place is quite unique and comfortable. Lots of CDs for sure :) We made a late minute reservation but he was very accommodating!
The building itself is old so the bathroom and kitchen has some weird smell and doesn't work so well.. especially in the kitchen nothing really works. Stove top and microwave were not working (no oven and water boiler). It will be great at least to have a electric water boiler for tea/coffee. One of the velvet tiles (??) from the wall fell to the bed (because of closing the door strongly.. but that's the only way to close it) and it could be a little dangerous but nothing else fell. Oh and it's on the 3rd floor without lift so if you have big luggage, think again.
Can be recommended if you're looking for a cheaper option in Montmarte (and don't cook at home) but the area could be a little sketchy (especially with pick pockets) if you're girls only and you should consider that the building/flat is quite old without renovations done (kept relatively clean but there are some limitations).
