Hi, I am Liz. I am a true Penangite married to an American and have 2 beautiful children. I am an artist and am adventurous as far as food and travel plans are concern. I can't live without my sketchbook and having people around.

The apartment was great and exactly as described. It was clean and comfortable and the building has a nice pool, shop and a cafe which serves great food. Liza responded promptly to my messages and was freely available during our stay.
Liza responded promptly to our emails. Good location, clean, nice view. Beds uncomfortable, no flat screen, noisy at night. Not recommended. Only person at a time can go online.
Jerry was there when we arrived, and he us gave us a run-down of the Batu Ferringhi neighbourhood. How to access the Beach, where to find shops and food, taxis and buses. Also he shared his experiences of being the permanent expat.
The Apartment was nicely situated high above the main road, with magnificent sea and jungle views.
We only used the kitchen for instant noodles, boiled water, and the fridge. Eating out is just as cheap and delicious.
Nice pool area with monkeys as an audience.
Love the place especially the decor and theme. The only issue I had was the mattress which I've shared with Liza. Also the wifi is very slow, but enough for getaway from busy emails..
The direction to the apartment was clearly given and the host was responsive to all questions asked.
The apartment was clean generally. Location is near to the night markets and has a nice beach view.
On the downside:
- apartment wasn't as well maintained as mentioned by owned. My sister in-law has complains of itch all over her body after sleeping on the 2nd bedroom. The master bedroom's bed was of so low quality, the spring was horrible and made noisy sound at every small movement
- shower water pressure was very low
-The price shown at the reception was half the price I paid. With the low quality furnitures and badly maintained apartment - I am not very happy paying premium
It was an overall great experience, great view, clean and nicely decorated apartment, great location on Batu Ferringhi
Clean apartment with excellent views from hall and rooms, host kindly came to unlock door when we accidentally left the access card in its holder
and when we accidentally broke the card in the process of retrieving it from card holder host waived the replacement cost. Would have been a perfect stay had the beds been firmer and not soft but overall good place to stay for holiday.
The place was nice and exactly as advertised. Close to the beach. We enjoyed spending time there
Host was very helpful, contacting me before arrival and making it clear that I could ask for help/advice if needed. Apartment was good size for 4 people. Bathrooms had been renovated to a good standard. View from balcony was nice! Only a few minutes walk from the beach. Only had coffee at the Violet Cafe by the pool but food menu looked good too. Convenience shop in building was good for soft drinks etc. We didn't use the pool as the weather was not very good during our stay, but signs around the pool seemed to imply that wearing a bikini would not be appropriate. The only people I saw using the pool were local tourists who were quite covered up so I would have felt uncomfortable anyway and probably gone to the beach anyway. A good selection of restaurants available between 5-20 minutes walk away, depending on what food you want. We were happy to walk each day, but also got taxis using Myteksi app when it was raining heavily. Good selection of DVDs available to watch.
The place was as advertised, as shown in the pictures, including the paintings. The kitchen is fully equipped with the necessary cutlery and utensils for a home-cooked meal. The beach is a short walk away, though the sand is pretty coarse. DVDs are provided, though we didn't watch any. The sofa is pretty comfortable, though we can't say the same for the beds - you can feel the spring in the mattress. Wi-Fi is also offered for the duration of the stay and there is even a washing machine for doing laundry. Towels, body foam and shampoo are also provided so you literally need to bring your own clothes and toothpaste/brush for the trip. All-in-all, it's a decent place to stay in, with the observations below:
The kitchen has a toaster and could do with a microwave.
The 3rd bedroom for the additional 5th person is just a small room, which seems to have been converted from something else. The air-con condensers are just outside so it can get pretty noisy, and even if you do not on your air-con, the noise from other apartments' condensers still makes quite a din.
The kitchen and living room is quite breezy, but the bedrooms could do with a fan for aiding natural ventilation.
We were somewhat worried for the safety of our young kids as the balcony and windows are not properly child-proofed. Not an issue for those with older kids/adults only in the travelling party.
The tiles at the top of the bathroom wall has holes (don't know how to describe them), which is meant to facilitate ventilation, faces the common corridor for the master bathroom, so we were worried for our own privacy when bathing. For the common bathroom, the tiles open to the 3rd bedroom. Therefore, what you do in the bathroom can be clearly heard by the 5th person.
The water at the swimming pool of the building don't look very clean, so we didn't dare to bring the kids down.
Liz is very quick to respond to queries, though I wished she would have met us personally when we arrived.
Liza and her family were great guests! They are clean, considerate and it was a real pleasure getting to know them. I highly recommend them to other hosts and also hope to go and visit them at their place sometime in the future.
Liza was a great guest. She and her friend were friendly and nice to be around. They left things in the apt. great even though I wasn't there. They were easy going and happy to go with the flow. I'd have her back anytime.
Even only staying here one day, it was still a great experience. They like chinese culture so much, i companied them to visit the imperial examination museum, bamboo caving museum and an old tea house. Hope to see you again. Mark
Liza and her colleague were a really nice guest, though they just stayed 2 nights, we had not so much time to get to know each other, but had a very nice conversation in the end!
